Carlos King Interior Design was a great experience and working with Carlos King was a pleasure. Carlos was very helpful at guiding us into the direction of our vision through his experience, creativity and network of Artisans and professionals. Carlos managed and designed the remodel of our Rancho Mirage home. As we were working remotely with Carlos and team, we were able to complete the project with a few in person stays along the way until completion. Carlos was very responsive and accountable which made the project much easier to complete without delays. Carlos’ designs and lay outs helped us use the footprint of our home for maximum utilization. The colors, fabrics and finishes met our demanding vision with beautiful results. We look forward to working with Carlos King in the future as we explore on!

I first learned about his services after he was featured in a local magazine for his exceptional customer service and eye for design. After looking for a recommendation on a social media website, his name was recommended to me several times. Carlos took the time to answer my questions and provided me with several references, which I called. I live in California part-time and trust him with the keys to my home to meet with contractors when I am not able to be there. He is professional, punctual and receptive to any questions or concerns I had along the way. Not only is Carlos an excellent designer, he also effectively managed the entire project which allowed me to actually enjoy the process stress-free! From beginning to end, his keen eye, his attention to detail and his sensitivity to budget concerns gave us the confidence to move through the project with ease. In addition to the assets mentioned above, the best part of working with Carlos is his willingness to openly communicate and share his wisdom without hesitation. We found Carlos through Houzz and are so happy with the design and work he did. We totally renovated the interior of our place (new cabinets, countertops, appliances, fixtures, lighting and paint). We also donated to charity almost all of our old furniture (but Carlos did convince us to reupholster a couple of pieces we had). He then designed and custom-made all our bedroom furniture, headboards, bedspreads and pillows, our living room and den furniture and one spectacular built-in bar. Carlos also chose (and, in a few instances, painted) all our new artwork, which we love. Because of our HOA rules around renovations, we had a very short window to get all this work done, and Carlos managed to finish on time and under budget. Throughout the process, he maintained regular contact with us (we were out of the country for the entire renovation period), sending us photos of his progress and updates on costs etc. At the beginning of November, we finally got to see in person the finished product, and words cannot describe how happy we were. The colours blended perfectly, and the quality of the finishes was excellent. What we saw matched in every way the drawing he had provided. If we could give more than 5 stars, we certainly would.

Carlos was great to work with! He's got a good eye, comes up with creative solutions, and is mindful of budget and timelines. He's a good listener and asks questions to really understand your goals. He's assertive, yet diplomatic, when he needs to be to help keep the project on track and ensure the overall design is cohesive. Best of all, he made the project fun! He helped us get outside our comfort zone. We're thrilled with the outcome - it's just what we wanted!

Happen to find this designer at my local community. Little did I know he also designed my neighbors home. Such style! He presents plenty of confidence and actually rolled out the large rugs when they arrived to our home. He even brought over a flower arrangement of Orchids. He also never breaks a promise. He's not just a designer, he's a good person too.

Carlos King is extraordinarily talented interior designer who came recommended by a friend. He made the process of redecorating our newly purchased home in Rancho Mirage California feel effortless. The home we purchased and The Springs Country Club was very old and outdated, and he transformed the house living-room, dinning-room, entry and breakfast room into pure luxury and comfort. The colors and textures he included are amazing. This was done on time and within budget, which was amazing, especially during a pandemic. Carlos is meticulous, and he monitors his projects closely. Carlos was incredible! We recently moved to La Quinta, CA and wanted a designer to work with. After interviewing several recommended designers by Houzz, we chose Carlos and are sure glad we did. We needed an office badly and was hoping it could be completed in four weeks. Well, it was! Carlos's cabinet maker was amazing, as well as his electrician and painter he recommended. We could not be more pleased. Carlos was very diligent and made sure the work was completed on time. The before and after is awesome. We would definitely use Carlos again for future plans. We met Carlos when we needed help with a color scheme for our outdoor entertainment area. He has an excellent eye for color. We soon expanded his role to helping personalize the public areas of our new home. Carlos is an energetic hard worker. He frequently found alternative materials in a day or two. We experienced no delays caused by Carlos. He is very responsive; answering phone calls, emails and text messages quickly. He is hands on with contrators assuring they perform to the design intent. He is flexible and patient as we worked to find products and materials that merged our vision for the space. He never showed offense when we rejected a material, color or product, he simply found an alternative . . . quickly. Carlos came fully prepared to our first meeting with photos from previous real estate listings of our house and budding ideas already in his head. He spent considerable time at our first meeting, working hard to fully appreciate my husband's and my divergent tastes. We set a budget for the home decorating project; he kept it in mind throughout; and he finished within budget, although we were not able to get everything we wished for within that budget. Carlos showed great vision and creativity. He worked with high quality craftspeople who were attentive to detail and right on schedule. He achieved the look and the feel that we were reaching for. Overall we were extremely pleased with the finished product; we look back with fondness for the opportunity having worked with Carlos, and we will be using him again when we decide to do further renovations.

Carlos King designed and executed the re-working of my front and back patios. He purchased art, plants, and pillows and transformed my back patio from a simple, uninteresting space to an inviting area for dining. My front patio went from clutter to clean and elegant. Carlos is respectful of budget, he listened to what I wanted, and was able to achieve my goals quickly and painlessly. He referred me to several craftsmen, all of whom were very skilled.
