After living in our dysfunctional kitchen & family room for over 5 years, we began the search for a designer to help us figure out what to do with the space that we knew could be amazing. We spoke to a couple of designers that heard our budget and basically told us what we could NOT do. Then we found Clairmont, Ltd. Working with Pat and his team was a truly exceptional experience. From the initial consultation with Kim, who patiently and collaboratively worked with us to conceptualize our vision, through the construction phase where they brought the plan to life, they treated us as if we were a part of their family. They heard us, used their creativity to help solve unexpected issues as they came up and, in the end, helped us stay on time and within budget while delivering a beautiful space for our family to truly LIVE in. We highly recommend Clairmont for any remodeling project. Their attention to detail, creative solutions, and THE NICEST people I've ever worked with made ours a great experience. Pat Franz and the Clairmont team turned our less than inviting basement into a place where family and friends want to be! The complete transformation included replacing ceiling tiles, enhancing the electrical, moving and replacing furnaces, and completely rebuilding the staircase with beautiful hard wood. We most enjoy the beautiful exercise room and the addition of a spa-like bathroom, complete with steam shower. Pat’s creativity provided the perfect look, using reclaimed wood and stunning tiles. The new cabinet in our game room is a piece of art, custom made by Clairmont’s master craftsman. With the great success of the basement, we decided to add custom wainscoting to the dining room and staircase. Clairmont’s team are artisans with a great eye for detail. We could not be happier with the results – the rooms have been completely transformed. We truly love our newly remodeled home and look forward to our next project with Clairmont!

Pat Franz and his team at Clairmont turned my 1960's nightmare into a showplace! My tiny pink shower stall is now a large, luxurious shower. My 24" pink sink is now a beautiful 48" vanity with custom top, and my old medicine cabinet mirror was replaced with a state of the art Roburn cabinet. I had no idea how great the transformation could be. Fabulous!!! :)

The only thing our Oak Brook home needed was a ground floor family room. Clairmont LTD impressed us during the bidding process presenting a complete package. This included a well defined scope of work, schedule and project cost broken down by craft. They broke ground in mid-September and we celebrated the Christmas holiday season in the completely finished space. The work quality was excellent, only premium materials were used. Mark and his construction team managed a difficult project as site access was a challenge. Pat was able to deliver a quality project on time and on budget. The subs were fully supervised and the site was always safe, clean and secure. All permits were obtained inspections were completed as required. We couldn't be happier with the results and will highly recommend Clairmont Builders for a remodel project or new construction project.

Pat Franz / Clairmont is the consummate contractor, who carefully crafted a comprehensive, cost saving update to my parent's 1970 constructed townhouse, effectively converting a worn out vintage residence into a move in ready contemporary classic. The scope comprehensive and included clearing out the old, then installing energy efficient windows, mechanicals, fixtures and appliances, plus bringing utility services up to code. I'd hire them again!

Over the past seven years Pat and his team have made numerous improvements to our home. A new roof, new siding, custom cedar shutters, a new patio door, a breathtaking beamed ceiling with five inch oak crown molding, and out latest project new granite counter tops in the kitchen and powder room. All of the work was done on time and on budget. All the subcontractors were courteous and kept their work area clean and safe at the end of each day. Picture a pregnant wife. Actually picture a very pregnant wife and the wrong contractor tearing apart my house. It is February in Chicago and it is cold. Our room addition which started in October was supposed to be done by now. But all I have is a big hole next to my house with a new foundation in it. That is what four months of work got me. One cold February morning as I came down the stairs to the first floor I heard water running. A lot of water running. Walking down the basement stairs I discovered we were in an episode of the Titanic. There was at least two feet of water and it was still rising. Why? Our contractor when excavating had not protected water pipes near the outside basement wall and they froze and burst. You can imagine the flurry of activity and emotion that followed. A neighbor seeing the commotion, inquired and immediately referred Patrick Franz of Clairmont. He met me that evening. The next morning the first contractor was fired and Clairmont was hired. The next day Pat started the cleanup and the construction – which now included rebuilding the basement. It was amazing! Totally amazing! I got direct answers to my questions, I got activity and best of all he and his people did high quality work. They saved my marriage and my family and turned my house into a show place. The people at Clairmont are true professionals. They are highly educated in building science and building processes. Remodeling, as I have learned, is so much more complex than new construction. Their uber-professionalism made the experience outright pleasant. Pat and his team worked around a newborn and a new mom, making changes in 50% of the rooms of our current house plus the two level addition we had started in October. Their attention to the finest detail, spotlessly clean work-site, creative, solution based management, and over-the-top thoughtful communication made ALL the difference.
