Colonial Reproductions is an independent building contractor,owned by Norman Rankow. He has built two homes for me . My experience with Norman and his employees has been nothing short of exceptional. Both projects were on budget,the time lines were adhered to and the punch lists were short and quickly eliminated.

Very professional to work for/with. They have personal connections with the best contractors in the area (painters especially). The finished products come close to perfection and the beauty and quality outdo the expectations of clients.

Norman and his staff were efficient from the start and very pleasant to work with. We were informed of dates, expectations. Deadlines were met. If we needed to make selections, the staff gave us a heads-up and suggested several options which was invaluable since we were doing this remodel from a distance. They provided us with pictures, updates of progress, and the project was completed ahead of schedule. Beautiful work. We are planning to use them again.

We have known Norman Rankow and his team for over 18 years, and used him on countless projects on our 1829 historic Edgartown home. He and his team have always delivered the highest quality product which we are proud to display. They are responsive if we have problems and we return to them time and again when we have needs. Indeed, they are now close friends. Through a variety of projects, we have renovated the house from top to bottom including bathrooms, kitchen, adding HVAC, building out a usable third floor and other customized features. The house has been on house tours and was once featured in a design magazine.

We hired Norman Rankow and his accomplished team at Colonial Reproduction to build a new home for us on Martha's Vineyard. The experience could not have been more positive, or gone more smoothly. We couldn't be happier. Despite the almost 3,000 miles between us, and this new construction, Norman and the team kept us informed with regular updates, photos, videos every step of the way. The project was completed under budget and they made extra effort to complete it months ahead of schedule which allowed us to enjoy our first summer in the house, instead of the scheduled Oct move-in. Through the process, we became and remain friends, and whenever an issue arises (though we've never had anything serious...they did a rock-solid job), Colonial is always an easy phone call away to fix any problems that come up. They're great people. They're great builders. And they are a pleasure to work with. We LOVE the house they built for us, and remain grateful to Colonial for creating our dream home.
