About Us

Catherine Cote loves helping people just like you--those hoping to beautify their home in an expression of their individual taste and lifestyle. It's her truest passion and joy to accomplish that objective for her clients through color consultation, selection of kitchen and bath finishes, home decor, lighting, plumbing fixtures and more. As a Certified Color Specialist, her training and expertise can help take the overwhelm out of the selection process. A consummate Creative, Catherine obtained a BFA in Voice and most of a Masters Degree before venturing into Interior Design studies at The University of Texas and The Art Institute. She especially enjoys working with hard surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms as well as creating home design concepts for new construction and remodeling projects. In July 2014 Catherine relocated to Sequim, WA from Sedona, AZ, a resort town known for its beautiful residences. There she was exposed to extraordinary architectural expressions of the home environment, but she believes good design should be available to all and finds reward working on projects with a few less zeroes in the budget. Every home is as unique as its owner and deserves a fresh and innovative approach for maximizing its enjoyment. This was my first time hiring an interior designer, since I am self-professed the worst to pick out paint colors. Since we were painting every room of a new home purchase, this was a critical piece, and I reached out to Catherine of CSC Designs. She warrants a 5-star review on several levels, and her statement regarding her services including the smaller design decisions to the larger makeovers or new home building definitely rang true. Catherine has vision, from classical to whimsical, and what impressed me the most was her initial question on what was it we wanted to "feel" when walking into the house or a room? She combined her expertise in color and design with our tastes and ultimately our goals, which have been transitioning, as we enter into a new life phase. Being new to the Olympic Peninsula, Catherine also provided insight to local contractors and commercial resources for our multiple projects. Last, but not least, her services reflected a fair and affordable price point across a suite of options. It was a great experience (and a great relief).

Thank you so much, Catherine, for your help. Your time was worth every penny! I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying my ‘new’ house. The paint colors you selected were perfect. I had a lot of hesitancy before the paint was applied about whether the colors would blend with all the different areas and my older furnishings and whether it would be uplifting but, as I look around now, EVERYTHING works so well. I was also concerned that the colors would be too ‘bland,’ but they are not -- they are very warm and actually enhance the furnishings. And your suggested placement of our art collection is excellent, too. It’s truly been joyful for me as I walk through or spend time anywhere in my house. A much bigger improvement than I was expecting. Thank you!!!

We bought a second house recently in Sequim Washington, and I wanted to redo our bathroom and kitchen and needed help with colors and overall design. Catherine has definitely become my go to design person. She helped me pick out the colors and products--as a result the finished product was nicely integrated. She also explains her choices to me so I can learn about what works--or not without making costly mistakes. Catherine is a delight to work with--she listens to what the customer wants--in stead of trying to sell you something "in fashion" that might not be your taste at all. She is also helping me pick the right furniture and decor. I would definitely recommend Catherine.
