Custom Wood Products - Handcrafted Cabinets

We completed a major kitchen renovation project six months ago in Massachusetts. We had multiple challenges with the project and quality of kitchen cabinets from the beginning. First, there were replacements required due to damaged components then poorly working drawers and surface damage. We had drawer hardware replaced that didn’t function properly. Now, just six months or so later we have soft close drawers that don’t close and cabinet doors that don’t close. The cabinets have been serviced for these same issues since installation. We have renovated three kitchens in other properties we have owned and CWP cabinets have not performed as custom cabinets should. I can absolutely say that these cabinets at our project are not the custom quality we were sold on. Based on our project results I would suggest researching other options.

This review is long overdue. We renovated our kitchen and chose CWP. Our kitchen cabinets look awesome and they were a perfect fit. They were very helpful in helping us choose the best looking wood (rustic cherry) and custom stain/finish (distressed and dull-rubbed). They also made custom window and base trim to match the cabinets in our kitchen. It's been over 4 years and they are holding up very well.

Custom Wood Products furnished the cabinets for our new custom build. We are very happy with the finished product and Leslie was very helpful through the entire process. She met with us several times, gave us good ideas and made the process enjoyable despite all our changes. The cabinets are beautiful and the quality is top notch. That's the second time I've used CWP for a custom house and I would gladly do it again.

I would not use this company on a bet after seeing their poor workmanship at my neighbors house ! Mistake after mistake . What were supposed to be ~custom~ made to order cabinets are re-work after re-work. They don't even give her new items after they make mistakes . Between their bad workmanship and the incompetent contractor from Palatine, IL who expects her to pay more money to cover the mistakes -the job has been at a standstill for over a YEAR ! Yes, you read that right no kitchen for over a year and she spent more than SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS . Their attitude toward her has been, " why don't you just accept the mistakes , lady ?" Instead of remorse and gracious correction. I would NEVER use these people. She would have been better off going to a big box store.

We have worked with Custom Wood Products since 1993 and there isn't a better company to work with. Dependable and service oriented, if it is humanly possible, they will get it done. As designers, we have complete freedom to design what is right for the project, and know that CWP will deliver the highest sense of quality in cabinetry, Their cabinetry is absolutely the most beautiful, always consistent and the best value for the money. This job is a painted job that I did with them in April of 2015. The customer is so impressed with the cabinets they feel that got a great value for an amazing American made product. I have been in the cabinet business for 30 years. I am a cabinet maker, kitchen designer and retailer. I have carried 12 lines of cabinetry in my career, usually 5-6 lines at a time. I was introduced to Custom Wood Products in 2002. After 7 years of amazing cabinets & service, I discontinued all lines but CWP. I did this for several reasons: It is a completely Custom, but mid-priced product. I can engineer the cabinets to fit the budget of rental property owners or to fit the most expensive properties in Dallas. Everyone from the President of the company to the people that answer the phone treat us with respect and do their best to see that we put out an outstanding product that is close to flawless. In the 13 years I have bought Custom Wood Products cabinets, they have made their deliveries on time, every time! I can actually start a job and have it ready for the day the cabinets will arrive. What a difference that makes when you have a reputation for getting the job done on time! I have had very few warranty issues over the years. The few we have had were met a sense of urgency and were immediately taken care of. I encourage anyone who is looking for a true custom cabinet (at a reasonable price) to use Custom Wood Products. You will never be able to settle for any other cabinet again. Just this year I have had 3 clients who previously owned CWP, buy new homes and are putting these cabinets in them again!
