As someone who regularly sources materials for Casafina Interior Design, I can confidently say that working with Monica is always a pleasure. Monica's design vision is not only clear and cohesive but also refreshingly creative. Monica has a knack for blending textures, colors, and styles in a way that feels both elegant and livable. What truly stands out is Monica's attention to detail and commitment to quality. Monica doesn't settle for anything less than the best, which challenges me (in the best way) to find unique, quality materials which match her standards. We began our renovation with a few ideas but wanted a professional to help us achieve our goals. We met with Monica @ Catarina Interior Design and were instantly excited to work with her. In addition to her designer skills, she had expertise in structural design which helped us immensely as we were removing walls, relocating and expanding entry ways and adding a second floor balcony. We loved her creativity, honesty and attention to detail She communicated well with us and our contractors, often being the liaison when our schedules didn't allow us to be available. Monica was always quick to respond to emails or text messages to answer any questions or concerns we had. We shopped for lighting, furniture, window coverings, rugs and decor, her patience and ideas were greatly appreciated. We are happy with our renovated home and know it would not have been possible without her help.

I've had Monica help me with two different remodels now. The first was an interior refresh that involved renovating two areas of my living room/entryway that were not very usable and updating with new flooring, wallpaper, and paint. Monica was so patient with me and she helped me to realize a home that is much more serene, beautiful, AND functional. At least once a week, I look around and think how much I love it. The second project was an entire kitchen/laundry room remodel. Even though we didn't change the footprint of the kitchen, it feels so much bigger and I have tons more counter and cabinet space. Her ability to pull together beautiful colors while making a space much more usable is amazing. I can't wait to have Monica and her team at Casafina help me with my next project. Seriously. This was money that was very well spent.

Monica was so thoughtful and easy to work with. She returned emails and phone calls promptly and was always on time for her appointments with us. The workmen that she arranged for our projects were professionals in work quality and in demeanor and we could not have been more pleased with them. We painted several rooms, replaced window treatments and rugs, sinks and counter tops and she chose accessories and bedding to complement our decor. Monica has a keen eye for design and color and was very careful to stay within our budget.

When it was time for me to look for a kitchen designer, I reached out to three people. Monica Olson was one of those three, and when I met with her, I instantly knew deep in my heart and soul that she was the one I needed to work with. She had a calm, nurturing nature, which I completely appreciated! She was open minded to my idea of a modern farmhouse/industrial inspired kitchen. She listened wholeheartedly to my desires, she supported my questions with nonjudgmental answers, and a lot of help. Her ideas were well thought out and fit perfectly into what I wanted for my kitchen. If I mentioned that I wasn’t thrilled with an idea she had presented to me, she supported me, never once saying her idea would be better or that that was “the style”…. she worked hard to make sure she was able to give me what I wanted, which she did! My kitchen was a total redo and she was by my side, whether physically or by phone or text every minute. If I freaked out about something or needed to talk to her, she always got back to me within a matter of an hour at the most! Over the course of the remodel we became connected on a different level than most kitchen designers and their clients are connected. She has become part of my family! I am truly blessed to have been able to work with this amazing woman who is creative, smart, fun, inspiring and always has her clients desires at the top of the list and has an incredible design perspective!!!! I would highly recommend Monica for any project you have for the future and I will definitely be working with her again when it’s time to re-create my master bathroom and redo my bonus room!!! Our kitchen/downstairs remodel is beautiful thanks to Monica Olson. She is an extraordinary designer. Taking on a project this big requires a lot of planning and good communication. Monica is excellent at both. She estimated our project to take 8 -10 weeks. Both Monica and her contractor John stayed within the budget and met the timeline. They are both detail oriented, friendly and easy to work with. Everything looks fresh and updated. We are looking forward to our phase 2 upstairs remodel in 2023. Thank you Monica!

We selected Monica Olson from Casafina to complete our 3,500 sq ft condominium renovation in 2021 to give us a more beach look and feel.To accomplish this,we needed to update most of the interior including paint colors,floors,carpets,kitchen counters,tile,backsplash,fixtures,master bedroom and bath,study staircase,window treatments,powder room,lighting,accessories etc.Monica also helped us refurnish most of the inside upon completion.Monica was a very good listener,made great suggestions and would try to use existing components of our home if it fit into her design look.She recommended a contractor we used that made it easier,maintained her timeline and kept us in budget.She was crafty at working thru supply chain issues and used various sources to keep the work moving.The ultimate recommendation is we would use Casafina again for our next upgrade.

It was a pleasure to work with Monica. Prior to working with Monica we interviewed three other designers. When we first meet her we “clicked”. My husband and I have no design sense but wanted to make our new house's interior design much more elegant than we have done in the past. We were also a challenge in that we have no clue as to what we wanted, liked or examples of inspiration. Monica was patience with us and came up with great ideas to turn our remodel into a warm an inviting space. We are looking to doing more work with Monica in the future!!

I loved working with Monica! I needed to badly update my living/dining large open room. I knew I needed to paint and wanted to replace the carpet with wood flooring. What would work with my current furniture and what should be replaced. I am such a creature of habit that I needed someone to help me think "out of my old box". I also needed help with contractors and coordinating the work. Monica ended up being the perfect person for me. We took things one step at a time and was so helpful with ideas to update the whole look of the room. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help to "think out of an old box".

I cannot recommend Monica Olson and her Interior Design services highly enough--there simply aren’t words! In December of 2018, as a reaction to yet another water leak and whole house re-pipe, my husband and I made the decision to begin a major remodel of our home including the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, family room built-in/fireplace, downstairs floors, staircase and upstairs hall. Feeling overwhelmed due to urgency and size of the project, I knew I needed an interior designer to help me prioritize projects and offer wisdom and guidance in making cohesive design/style choices. I met Monica through the contractor I ended up hiring, and she played a major in that decision. They came together to our initial consultation, and Monica and I hit it off immediately. Her warm, outgoing personality and professional confidence instantly reassured me and set my mind at ease. I knew she was exactly what I needed, and hiring her was the single best and most important decision I made on this project. She listened, asked questions, and paid attention to pictures and opinions I gave. She picked up my aesthetic quickly and immediately began guiding me through the decision making process, all the while honoring my desires while offering professional and personal insight/ wisdom as needed to enrich the result. About a month and a half in, things took an unexpected and tragic turn. My contractor died unexpectedly in his sleep. He was a sole proprietor, but his widow and foreman assured me they would finish the project. Unfortunately, it soon became obvious this was not going to be pleasant or easy. Monica was my saving grace! She promised to support and guide me through the chaos and stay with me until everything was completed, and wow, did she ever do that! There is not enough time or space to explain how incredibly far above and beyond she went to help. She tried to be a go-between for me and the contractor’s widow and foreman; She worked with me manage the subcontractors and the timing of everything underway; she supported and guided me when money stopped flowing and started disappearing; she helped me gather information on how to file against the bond in an attempt to get money restored; she helped me find new subcontractors to finish work left undone; and so on and so forth. She provided support in every imaginable way she could, helping us navigate through the nightmare that ensued following the death. Now, almost 3 months later, I’m happy to say I am sitting in a home, that’s been put back together again, with a new kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace/built in, floor, staircase and upstairs hall that I love. I’ll never be able to adequately thank Monica for all she’s done. Without hesitation, I can say she will be my go to Interior Designer for all our future home projects, and a friend I’ll continue to enjoy for many, many years to come!!!
