One star is entirely too generous for Al and Doorsmith. A family friend recommended Doorsmith for the 4 custom garage doors needed for our home renovation. Things started off well and the first two doors were installed in a fairly timely fashion, but unfortunately things took a turn from there. One of the doors never fully closed and the motor wasn't working properly either. On top of that, the door tracks they installed were not at all what was requested and what Doorsmith agreed to do - they were supposed to hug the ceiling to make room for a 4 post car lift, instead they're hanging so far down a car will never fit on top. It took a long time to get in touch with Al - we're talking many months and countless unreturned calls, voicemails, and texts. Finally Al took responsibility and said they'd messed up, but would come back out to fix everything. Well, that was months ago and now Al is ghosting us. He's also ignored a letter from our attorney. Avoid this company unless you like spending tens of thousands of dollars on doors that don't work with zero follow up support!

Al Richburg and his team at Doorsmith are hands-down best in the garage door business! We recently built a custom rustic style home (cedar shake and stacked stone) and we wanted some unique custom cedar doors for the finishing touch! Al offered up a very unique barn door design blending "knotted" cedar facing boards with "knotless" trim. The finished product is simply stunning....everyone who visits comments on the garage doors! You will not go wrong with Doorsmith....we are VERY satisfied customers!!
