Laurene, the proprietor of Eclectic Design, recently finished a major makeover of my condominium, and my partner and I are blown away. My unit was in dire need of an update and I didn't know where to begin. I knew that I wanted a more contemporary/transitional look, but beyond that, I was clueless. This is the type of situation where Laurene shines! She asked me enough questions to get a sense of my tastes and then proceeded to give me options galore. It was a fascinating process. She teased out what was important to me and what colors I was drawn to, and she was off! I was struck by her portfolio (which is why I contacted her in the first place) and trusted her to make great recommendations, and she did! She was able to look past the old wallpaper and popcorn ceilings, and envision a completely different look, one that made the most of the living room's vaulted ceilings and natural light. Somehow, my space seems so much bigger and airier. She also managed to enlarge - and beautify - the master bath without sacrificing any usable space elsewhere. The master bath is one of my favorite hang-outs! It's got a spa-like quality with its intricate tile work, stunning vanity, beautiful lighting and expanded floor space. She worked similar magic in all of the rooms in my house. We started with paint selections (from which everything else flowed), and Laurene brought together a palette of colors that was both dramatic and soothing. Her suggestions for furniture, lighting and artwork were spot on! I love the cohesiveness of the space, the lack of clutter and the overall "zen" feeling that I get when I walk through the door. I work from home, and she made my office an oasis - to the point that I have been asked several times on Zoom calls whether my "background" was real (it is!). The experience itself was more pleasant than I would have expected. I had anticipated a stressful experience, but Laurene (who has an amazing calming effect) has a contractor and team of expert craftsmen with whom she has worked for many years. Like her, they are professionals - detail-oriented, efficient, quiet (well, other than the demo stage, which couldn't be helped) and dependable. It was a huge relief to have someone else do the planning. Here is an abbreviated list of the things I truly appreciated about Laurene's management of the renovation: - She always gave me plenty of options (at different price points) - She kept a close eye on my project and was big on communication - with her contractor, me, her vendors, etc. - She managed my expectations very well, always letting me know what to expect the next day, the next week, etc. - She is very organized and provided a detailed cost sheet, which she kept current. - She demands excellence. In summary, we are thrilled with the results, every single day!

Laurene is a dream to work with. She's done several major projects for us including a complete kitchen remodel and renovating our entire upstairs (two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large open seating area with a picture window.) She begins by listening. She has a talent for understanding a client's taste, concerns, and budget. Many times she took all the work and worry out of an interior design issue my wife and I faced. Laurene also excels at delightful toppings. By that I mean she doesn't just deliver the ice cream you ask for--she adds the chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and cherry on top. She gives you your request sparkled up and beyond expectation. She deserves five stars unless they start handing out six stars.

I recently worked with Laurene on redesigning my family room, and couldn't be more pleased. She has great taste, creative ideas and a unique way of seeing a room, but she never forced her preferences on me and was always mindful of my budget. The other professionals she brought in -- painters, electricians, etc. -- were top-notch. I can't wait to do another project with her, as I enjoyed her collaborative style and obvious love for what she does.

I worked with Laurene over the past 12 years on a vast array of upholstery work and custom furniture. Each project unique in its own way with the flair that she brings to her designs. Laurene expects perfection for all of the work we do for her and she is involved in every detail from start to finish. My husband and I had never worked with an interior designer before but we couldn't have been more pleased with Laurene McGarry both personally and professionally. She has been involved in helping me pick out hardware, lighting fixtures, wall paper and design aesthetics during the building process. Working with Laurene McGarry of Eclectic Design, Inc was a amazing experience . Laurene came and looked at our home for style & colors. She provided us with an outstanding design for our kitchen project. She listened to our concerns & was very easy to work with when making decisions for the color of the cabinets, wall paint, the backsplash tiles, bar stools, floor and window treatments. Laurene of Eclectic Design, Inc. is wonderful to work with, whether it's for a small project like helping us find dining room chairs (recently), or a larger project like helping us create a fresh, warm look for our dining and living rooms (in 2011). I love my new kitchen! Eclectic Design took the worry out of selecting all the materials: Cabinets, counter-top and floor of course, but also, the many little details that made all the difference from cabinet hardware to lighting, picture framing and placement, and the tile edging. The result is pulled together and polished, and the room is now such a pleasure to use, both for family and entertaining. After consulting with me and seeing my home, Laurene was able to narrow down the choices, and make the choice fun and easy for me. Following completion of the main project, I have hired them for smaller projects throughout the house and never been dissapointed.

I called on Eclectic Design to design and install window treatments in my new office. I also asked them to arrange and hang wall art. The work was completed on time and on budget. The window treatments are just gorgeous and give my office an upscale and very professional look. Working with Laurene is wonderful experience.
