Melissa and Joe created lovely vessel sinks for our new home in Georgetown. They generously gave us time to look through their many projects, and we instantly fell in love with Melissa's art. Glass river designs is a very professional company that works in great detail on their artistic glass pieces. We have sent various jobs to be done with them, either for coloring or sandblasting, design etc. and they have been very detailed oriented and diligent in their work. I highly recommend them and back them up.

Glass River Designs was recommended to me by a good friend during our recent kitchen renovation project. My intention was to use tile or slate as a replacement for the existing backsplash. My friend, Will Lowery, who has a lovely glass backsplash in his home created by Glass River, took me to their studio last fall "just to look". The studio was both impressive because of the neat and careful organization of their working art space, but also because of the high quality and quantity of the art they create. I saw a sample of the "wrought iron" style glass etching in a golden color and I was totally sold. I took that sample home and was ready to plan the project. I cut a template for the glass backsplash and the owners of Glass River, Joe and Melissa, had the glass pieces cut to fit. We collaborated on the design and came up with something that is perfect for the space. Melissa is the glass artist who draws the design and etches the glass. Melissa and Joe made the road trip ( a 3 hour drive) to install the glass pieces in our home. The backsplash is perfectly beautiful. I could not be more pleased with the design and execution of this project. We have a custom art piece in our home. I am an art teacher and have a sincere appreciation for the technique and exquisit flowing lines of this piece of art. To say that I am happy and that we are satisfied homeowners would be a severe understatement. The etched glass with the copper leaf has a metallic glow and depth unlike any other media could create. It is stunning.

Amazing!! Melissa is a wonderful artist! She surpassed all my expectations. She made two beautiful glass sculptures for my front yard and a glass river design countertop for my kitchen. These wonderful works of art are now the highlights of my house. Every one in her team was wonderful to work with. On my request Melissa kept me involved every step of the way and made it a very special experience. I would give them my highest recommendation.
