My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

We are a "Boutique Builder" that specializes in Custom Home Building. We are a full service operation that includes site evaluations, home plan design (CAD), design layouts for the entire home from structural layouts to color pallets. Gunter Custom Homes & Design has a team with over 20 years of combined experience in the construction/design industry. We take the "stress" out of building a custom home. Specializing in high-end design, everyday living, handicap accessibility, and secondary (vacation) homes. At GCH&D, we believe a custom home at any price point should receive "Boutique" service. All aspects of construction and/or design is done in house to eliminate the extra expense of a consultant or interior designer, as all that is in your complete package. We are here to help your project stay on or below budget and on time.

We hired Gunter Custom Homes & Design in May 2013 to build our forever home. We approached them with a wish list, a possible floor plan, a school district, and a budget. They were instrumental in finding the land, securing the sale, and choosing and modifying the floor plan. Our wish list was 100% covered and all within our budget. Leslie got to know us and our tastes and so picking out options for the house was a breeze! Couple the stress of a new build with me being pregnant the whole time and delivering 6 weeks prior to completion and you could have a recipe for disaster. Not with Gunter!! I was able to enjoy both my build and my new baby thanks to Leslie and their team. The whole process has left us with amazing memories and we thoroughly LOVE our Gunter Home!

We were very pleased with our choice of Gunter Custom Homes as the builder of our house in 2014. Leslie Gunter and her very competent staff helpfully and patiently guided us through each step of the process, helping us work our way through hundreds of decisions. We especially appreciated Leslie's keen eye for design, her willingness to adapt the plan to meet our needs, her flexibility, her cheerfulness, and her desire to build a strong relationship with each client, based on trust, respect, and confidence. We were very impressed with the quality of the construction, the attention to detail, and the excellent and highly reliable team that Leslie has assembled. We could not be happier with our new house!
