How about something like this: I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ethan Hampton for over 10 years, collaborating on both multi-family residential and large commercial projects within my real estate portfolio. Most recently, we completed a custom residence together, and once again, Ethan exceeded expectations. Our project involved many unique elements to create a gorgeous tiled sun room with solar features. Ethan's design resulted in a year round useable room with a glass window wall to capture the mountain views. He planned the overhang so that the room is shaded from the summer sun but allows the winter sun to warm the room. Other features were a stone half-trombe wall and in-floor radiant heat from the roof top solar panels. The project also included a bathroom, master closet, entryway and large screened porch. The 1973 house was totally transformed with stone, stucco and wood framing. Ethan was fabulous to work with. He is great communicator who listens to the client and brings forth innovative and beautiful solutions.

We had the pleasure of working with Ethan and Darcie for our comprehensive home remodel. Their design concept took an existing building that resembled a Walgreen's plopped onto the plains into a contemporary designer showcase. But that was only the beginning: Hampton Architecture smoothly navigated the Boulder County planning process without a hitch or a delay. In addition, Darcie's connections with the building community gave us our contractor who was also inspired, professional, on time, and on budget. It's a common and tiresome medley one hears often about how their home construction project turned into a nightmare. In my experience it's mostly clients who cause the problems by not wanting to pay professionals for their expertise. Our investment in Hampton Architecture probably saved us six figures by avoiding downstream complications due to their preparation and attention to detail.

Ethan is one of the most creative architects I have ever met. His attention to detail is unmatched. He’s a great listener that always asks the right question. He has worked with many of my clients, and all were extremely satisfied.

Ethan is fantastic. We hired Ethan to design our home remodel in old Town Lafayette. He is knowledgeable, mindful, creative, professional, and budget conscious. Ethan is a great collaborator, constantly finding solutions to challenges. It wasn't until we lived in our new home a bit, that we really began to truly appreciate all he did with our living space - from the location of the windows to create the most privacy, to the abundance of sunlight in just the right locations, to the ease and functionality of every nook and cranny, all while creating a beautiful, warm home. Ethan not only designed our house plan, but he also facilitated with our contractor to assure it's integrity which proved to be invaluable. I can't say enough about Ethan's contribution to our beautiful home. We started our project with a different design firm. As construction was starting, I was having doubts about several design elements that I was not being heard on. Ethan came in and understood exactly what I was saying and what I wanted to see. He came up with even more ideas and options so I didn't have to settle at all. I wish we would have started the project with Ethan, thank goodness we found him when we did. He made all the difference. We love our home. I would highly recommend Hampton Architecture.

Ethan is fantastic. I had enjoyed working with him on a couple projects at my work and enlisted him for my home. He created a design for a beautiful garage/apartment/art studio replacing an old shed. He was professional and easy to work with. The project was on-time and on-budget, creative but also fit beautifully in a historic part of my town. I would highly recommend him!

Our late-nineteenth century farmhouse was far too small for our growing family so we turned to Hampton Architecture to design an addition that would not look like an addition. We were, and are, completely in love with our 'new' farmhouse. His professionalism, attention to details and ability to deal with our requests in a timely fashion were truly top notch. Our builders felt the same way. We consequently hired him for a redesign of our kitchen and are equally thrilled with the end result. First – know that Hampton Architecture is fantastic to work with. Hampton Architecture assisted my wife and me in making our vision of a modern off-grid cabin a reality. The services started with education and consultation. Hampton Architecture worked with us to collect our idea, and worked within constrains we set. Hampton Architecture painted a clear picture of the process (from concept to Certificate of Occupancy). Ethan presented a design that incorporated all of our objectives for this special property. He even took the time for an extensive site visit to capture the feel of the living land, the view angles, the topography, landscape and colors. I have minor building experience and we were not sure of the reliability of local trades in the remote mountain location – above Marble, CO. Hampton Architecture took care of all the details to get us an approved building permit with Gunnison County (one of the more stringent building code requirement Counties in the State of Colorado). Hampton Architecture proposed a building solution that would minimize our need for local labor – SIP. During the build, Ethan was available for the very few time necessary to clarify plan details – there were 4 total clarifications needed. In the end, we finish with a cabin of our dreams, built within the schedule and budget that we could afford.
