He was by far, the best contractor/craftsman to work with throughout our entire basement finish. He made cabinets for a bar area, tv area, bathroom, office and a smaller pocket office. In one word, Tyler is meticulous. HEI Design did my kitchen, bathrooms, mudroom, laundry room, bar area and floating shelves with drawers underneath them on fireplace wall in my new home. Nearly all of them were different designs but turned out perfect. I can't wait to get pictures taken so I can post the finish product. The bar area had particularly tricky lighting - I wanted changeable lights (Husker Red on Saturdays, Green on St. Patrick's Day) and Tyler nailed it. Would definitely recommend!

Tyler is a perfectionist in the best possible sense—exactly the person you want for something as precise as custom cabinetry. He made my vision come to life down to the exact millimeter, and he made some excellent edits that improved the overall design immeasurably. The organization options for inside cabinetry were great, but he also custom built silverware dividers and spice dividers by request so that I could have wood. He also was willing to make adjustments so that I could have a 3” deep walnut butcher block top for our island and real walnut tops (rather than veneer) for our two built-in benches. He went above and beyond to make sure that everything was exactly as we envisioned and more. We live in a 1920s house with uneven floors, ceilings, and walls. When it came time for install, Tyler and his team worked tirelessly to fit cabinets seamlessly into the space. Tyler excels at a level of craftmanship and excellence that is hard to find anywhere else! Highly recommend.

Absolutely one of the best Craftsmans I have ever worked with. Tyler and HEI design spent a lot of time planning and executing the perfect cabinet layout and plan for my kitchen. It was a fraction of the cost of what I’ve been quoted from other suppliers. The cabinets are beautiful! And more than that they are extremely well-made, durable and will last a lifetime. When I met Tyler I had been working on a kitchen remodel for almost a year. I had "gone through" 3 other kitchen remodelers. No one could do what I wanted. Everyone had their ideas. No one could seem to grasp the concept even though I had pictures of my ideas. I didn't want what everyone else had. I was looking for some thing contemporary. I was about to give up but my husband said to try one more time. I felt Tyler knew from the beginning what I wanted. He listened. He answered my questions and offered suggestions. I was very comfortable with him in the fact that he would come up with the design that was right. Tyler is an artist and an amazing craftsman. His workmanship is impeccable. To say the least my kitchen is more than I had imagined it could be. Uniquely mine & I love it. I highly recommend Tyler.
