It was a pleasure of working with Suncrest Homes to design and build my custom home. Charlie Hamilton and his daughter Kasey have put together a team of top experts within the Southern Oregon community. The fact that I worked directly with the architect, Rick Lindemann, made the design process fun and enjoyable. The designer for Suncrest Homes, Ashley Dee Haze, has experience and wisdom to guide one through the myriad choices. The team is orchastrated by the general contractor, Heidi Dobbins, who manages the on-site construction, scheduling, the changes in orders, all in as timely a manner as possible, given so many moving parts. Communication was excellent between the crews, general contractor, and myself. The construction crews and subcontractors are all top notch. It was truly amazing to watch the artisan framer, Zacharia “Zac” A. Doyle, put up a two story modern home by himself using tools he created. It was marvelous to observe the gifted craftsmen that contributed to the construction of the home: cabinet makers, tile layers, flooring installers, detail wood craftsmen, window installers, cement masons, plumbers, electricians, cable installers, etc.. The project was finished on schedule, which is a rare accomplishment. After closing, Suncrest Homes was and is available to remedy any concerns and they address any issues promptly, always informing me when to expect someone over. I highly recommend Suncrest Homes as the top custom home construction company in Oregon.

I've had the distinct pleasure of working with Charlie, Ashley, and the rest of the team at Suncrest Homes for not one, but two new home builds. The first was right after the Almeda fires, when every builder in the valley was swamped with business. Despite being overloaded with more customers than they knew what to do with they were still incredibly responsive, helpful, and professional the entire time. Charlie is great to work with, Ashley is such an asset when it comes to making all of the small design decisions, and their team on site was great as well. When I had the opportunity to build a second home a couple years ago, I of course went back to Charlie & Co. As expected, the process was just as smooth and the finished house just as beautiful as the first time. I've also had to reach out about a few very minor post-build issues (normal with any new home build) and Charlie has immediately gotten things perfect for me, no hassle, no fuss. Overall I can't say enough good things about them. 5 star review, they are wonderful!

No one should have the tragedy of losing their home in a fire, as we did. But the one silver lining has been the immediate and extraordinary care we received from Charlie Hamilton of Suncrest Homes. Our home plans were the first to be submitted by Charlie to the City of Talent. Thanks to him and his remarkable, professional crew and subs we were able to move into our beautiful new home a mere 9 months from the date of the disaster. In 2014 I contracted with Charlie Hamilton and Suncrest Homes to build a house in Talent, OR. I assumed there would be challenges because I was living in the Washington DC area at the time and would not be moving back to Oregon until the house was finished. I was delighted to find that was not the case – from creating the custom design, to choosing the finishes, to setting up the move-in details – everything went smoothly and I ended up with a beautifully built house ready for me when I moved back to Oregon. Charlie and his crew were easy to work with, even from a long-distance; they answered questions I had along the way and communicated progress regularly via phone calls, pictures, and email. Early in 2020, I became engaged and planned to move north to Cottage Grove where my husband-to-be was living. I tried to convince Charlie to open Suncrest North and build me a home, but didn’t have any luck with that. Instead, he offered to help us design the house we wanted. Starting with a map of the lot we had purchased and a blank piece of paper, my fiancé and I worked with Charlie to design the perfect house for us. He used his connections to have the plan drafted and necessary engineering completed. We were able to find an excellent contractor and are now living in a “Suncrest Designed” home. However, while we were still in the process of getting ready to build in CG, the Almeda Fire destroyed my Talent home. Charlie came to the rescue, providing me with the plans and information I needed to file insurance claims. The process was not always easy and made even more complicated because I was rebuilding a different house in a different location. I was fortunate to continue to have Charlie’s continued support. He was always willing to provide me with advice and additional information I needed to complete that process. With his help, in the end I was able to recover the full amount of money the house had been insured for. I give Suncrest Homes my very highest recommendation. Charlie and his crew are not only professional, skilled, and highly competent, they are caring and compassionate as well. If I could give Suncrest Homes six stars, I would. While we had been warned by most everyone that building a house would be a headache, we had the complete opposite experience. From the very beginning, we found them to be good listeners in both designing and building our home. They incorporated our ideas and guided us toward making good choices in areas where we had little knowledge. We were particularly impressed with the communications and followup. Every step of the way, we knew what to expect. The subcontractors working with Suncrest have been with them for a long time and it showed. We have a quality home because of their workmanship. And here's the really good part. They are nice people...the kind you would want for neighbors. Oh, and they don't forget about you once the home is completed. When we planned to move to the Rogue Valley, we looked for house we had long dreamed of, something that was built with quality and earth friendly, sustainable products. After looking for over a year and not finding what we wanted, we decided we may just have to build it ourselves. We were excited to find Suncrest Homes, an earth Advantage Builder, right in the town of Talent which we had decided to make our home. Right from the beginning, Charlie Hamilton was great to work with, helping us design a house that best suited our needs and the challenges of our lot. Through out the building process he helped guide us while honoring our desires. We wanted some things built into our house like solar panels, all electric appliances and wood heating. Even though these were not standard for Suncrest Homes, they were happy to help us through the process of getting what we wanted. From start to finish, I would highly recommend Suncrest Homes.

Working with a company to design and build a home is a challenge under the best of circumstances, but as in my case, living nearly 3000 miles away from the building site, the challenges were even greater...and I’m happy to say that my expectations were not only met by Suncrest Homes, they were exceeded. Charlie Hamilton and his crew took my ideas seriously and worked with me to design a floor plan that met my needs. Throughout the building process, I was informed of the progress through phone calls, emails, and photographs. When it was time to select flooring, countertops, lighting, etc. I flew out and participated in a whirlwind but extremely well-organized “shopping spree” with their interior designer, Sheryl Clear. She guided me through all the decisions that needed to be made and continued to work with me long-distance as the building progressed and minor adjustments and additional decisions were made. The house was finished on schedule and we were able to close the day before my items arrived from the east coast. I cannot say enough about the quality of professionalism and customer service that I experienced while working with Suncrest Homes. They have my highest recommendation and I would definitely use them again were I to build another home in the future.
