Liberty Homes

Liberty Homes gutted our kitchen to the studs, removed the tile floor down to the sub flooring, enlarged our kitchen by removing a supporting wall between the kitchen and dinning room, installed a steel beam in place of that supporting wall, added a large sun room off of the kitchen, gutted and remolded a bathroom, installed wood flooring for the new kitchen, tiled the sun room and bathroom, and created a doorway between our den and living room. Liberty Homes installed all of our new kitchen cabinets and island. Ian Moore, the owner, also designed the total construction project. Ian was extremely easy to work with from beginning to end. He uses his own employees for the main construction and used very reliable outside contractors for plumbing, electricity and painting. His employees were here on time everyday. The outside contractors were also very professional and came when they were supposed to. Everyday we received an email documenting their progress with photos. Liberty Homes also has a website we could log into to check their progress and construction schedule. Liberty Homes finished the construction on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to hire Liberty Homes again.

Ian was always reachable and always a professional. Once the project started, he completed the work essentially on time. Whenever any issues came up (and some always do), Ian was excellent at communicating with us and finding the least intrusive solution. The quality of the work was top notched and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. We have used Ian in the past and will continue to use him in the future for any and all work. I highly recommend him for any and all jobs you might have.

Ian has worked for me on several projects and I have been completely happy with the quality of his work as well as his work ethic. His estimates are fair. He shows up when he says he will. His work is of the highest quality. He installed a new bathroom for me and I am still delighted with the work he did. I have had him back twice more and find that he came through even on small projects. I recommended him to a friend who used him to enlarge his entire house! I just recommended him to another friend who wants an entire second floor put on his house! Excelsior!

We are really happy with the way our small-to-mid scale remodeling project turned out - thanks to Ian and his team. Ian gets my highest praise for his responsiveness - I always heard back from him promptly, whether I reached out via phone, text, or email. It was key to my feeling like I was up to speed on the latest with the project as things evolved. Before we began, Ian provided a video demo to simulate the new layout and flow. Being able to visualize how everything would come together was huge for us, and ultimately helped in our decision to use him. When we hit a snag (the biggest of which was my doing as I changed my mind on some materials) he didn't miss a beat. Also huge props to Tom the head carpenter for doing a beautiful job on the wood paneled wall installation. Absolutely recommend Liberty Homes and would hire them again.

Liberty Homes did an impressive and outstanding job. Ian was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was conscientious, helpful, knowledgable and did great work. He truly cares about the quality of work that he does. He finished our basement, which involved creating a bedroom and bathroom as well, and we could not be happier with the finished product. Not only does Ian do great work, but he also has an excellent sense of style and design, and is very helpful in offering advice in these areas. We were extremely happy with his work and genuinely liked Ian as a person. We will definitely be hiring him for many future jobs.

Liberty Homes did an addition to our home. We live in an 1840's home and they came in and took the middle part of our house out and totally renovated it. They gutted an existing kitchen/pantry, and an upstairs bedroom. Upstairs they pushed out the walls in the front and the back of the house. They added onto both existing bathrooms, added a laundry room, nice size bedroom and a very well insulated attic. Downstairs they built a new pantry and built an unbelievable kitchen. They did everything from installing wide pine floors (with square head nails), tile floors, all the cabinets; kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, built a great walk in shower, had the insulation blown in... The owner of Liberty Homes, Ian Moore, was incredibly honest and forthright about everything, every step of the way. Working on an older home definitely has it's challenges and Ian handled each one with great knowledge, professionalism and ALWAYS found a solution. (just so you know some of the 2 x 4's in our walls were actually trees that had been cut - bark still on them) so you can imagine some of the challenges behind each wall!! He employs 2 workers who are also very knowledgeable and very hard workers. They were in our house for 4 months so it was very important to have workers who were friendly and trustworthy. They were very personable and always waited for my opinion about something. For example, there was an issue in my town with the length of the hood over the cook top. Tom worked with me and spent hours cutting down the existing range until he got to something that would pass approval and something that I would like. Ian also has wonderful people who do the plumbing, electricity, plasterers... All of them spoke very highly of Ian and said they enjoyed working with him because he is a perfectionist, thorough, and honest. I have had many workers in my home and I have never been as pleased as I was with Liberty Homes. From start to finish he showed that he cared about my home, like he probably cares about his own home. It was very important to him to know that were happy every step of the way. My husband and I actually miss having them around! I would HIGHLY recommend Liberty Homes.

I highly recommend using Liberty Homes. They came in and renovated and recreated the first floor of my house, the kitchen, dinning and living room. I thought I was confined to the existing floor plan and it wasn't until I met with Ian Moore that I found out much more could be done. I had a chimney running up through the middle of my house and thought I had to work around that. Liberty Homes came in, removed the chimney, and put up engineered beams to support the weight of the house. When I saw the condition of the chimney I was extremely grateful that we went in that direction, as the chimney was so badly deteriorated that it was a fire hazard I would have never noticed. That opened the floor plan and allowed me to put an island in the kitchen which I use every night. With new kitchen cabinets, new windows, and refinished hardwood my 1930's house was brought up to date. The sub contractors he hires are as polite and professional as Ian Moore. Everything was done within the time frame and budget I set for myself. Since then I have used Liberty Homes for other small and large projects at other properties I manage. If you want a clean job done correctly I recommend using Liberty Homes.

We are delighted with the work that Liberty Homes did for us last winter and spring. The work included finishing a second floor unfinished bonus room as an art studio and finishing a workout basement to include a 3/4 bath, media area, exercise area, and workroom. Ian understood our vision, his crew were easy to work with, the subs were careful and professional, and both the studio and the basement turned out beautifully.

Ian and his guys, Tom and Henry, have done what is seemingly an endless number of both large and small projects. Two bathrooms, full basement, trim for the whole house, windows, doors, exterior work including our roof, and plenty more which I have forgotten. They are all very respectful, do incredible work, and listen to the needs of the homeowner while also providing great advice and coaching when needed. Took me four or five mediocre contractors to find Ian at Liberty Homes. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

I've been working with Ian and his team at Liberty Homes for many years now. They are fantastic, prices are great and there work is high end. I would not work with anyone else.

Liberty Homes has done a couple of jobs for my family. They built a deck at our previous home, then when we moved and needed an entire kitchen gutted and redone I knew who I was going to call immediately. It wasn't an easy renovation but Liberty Homes was amazing. Very proffessional with helpful suggestions, all while being timely and aware of important deadlines for my family.
