I worked with Justin on a project in Occidental, Sonoma. I found him extremely knowledgeable, approachable, creative, flexible, humble and professional. He was a pleasure to work with - I would highly recommend him as an architect.

We work with JTP Architects on a regular basis. What a great firm! Solid designers, very communicative, diplomatic, fair, and fun to be around. They are at the center of successful projects and we like general contracting for them.

We hired Justin a few years ago to help us with our remodel and he did an amazing job. In addition to being knowledgeable, thorough and creative, Justin was also extremely patient and really listened to our thoughts and ideas. He was also flexible and willing to explore new ideas as the project unfolded. Justin is talented, easy to work with and went the extra mile with us to ensure that we were happy with the end-result. Justin came to us at the recommendation of our contractor when we decided to build our home in Carmel By-The-Sea, CA. They had never worked together, but our contractor said he had always wanted to work with Justin Pauly. From day one, Justin was architectural genius! Justin is a great architect. We recently completed a major renovation of our circa 1920's home and he was our MVP. We love a contemporary style, and wanted to create a modern space with respect for the period of our home. Justin managed that wonderfully. Here's what we did: We moved a laundry upstairs, and added a new bathroom next to it. Downstairs, we removed a hallway, doubled the size of the kitchen, re-designed a bathroom, and added a back porch and deck. Special mention goes to the unused section of our front porch Justin proposed we turn into a bonus powder room. You'd never know it hadn't always been there. We also dug into the foundation to change the entrance to the basement. We get rave reviews on complete transformation of our entire home every time, and we only added some 200 sq ft. The flow through our home is completely natural, and the efficiency in use of space is incredible. Justin had great balance in being able to listen to my needs, ask critical questions, while applying some serious expertise. He is extremely easy to work with, even-keeled, and always in listening mode. No drama - anywhere from floor planning to project completion. We live in Palo Alto which is notorious for its difficulty in the permitting process. That would be another writeup but let's just say that Justin navigated and negotiated his way through that minefield so that we got permits for everything that we wanted to do. Justin was with us through the construction process, and helped tremendously to sort out the inevitable questions that arose after walls were opened up. Both the contractors and I appreciated the solution options he could produce on the fly. As for costs, Justin is very reasonable. Justin is extremely well-trained, an all-round nice guy and I can't recommend him highly enough.

We hired Justin for the remodel of our 1929 Spanish home in Los Altos. Justin was so remarkably easy to work with - fantastic listener, passionate about his design but very cognizant of our budget. The finished product is wonderfully consistent with the original, but dramatically more spacious and full of light. We feel like he was able to respect the heritage of our home while modernizing it to be far more comfortable and inviting for both our large family and our entertaining. We had such a good experience working with Justin that we've also worked with him (since the remodel) on a small addition...and have consulted him on another project as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
