Andi Korber and her team at Land + Shelter brought incredible creativity and value to SGM's recent interior remodel project. We were stuck thinking inside the box on how to remodel and essentially re-envision our primary office. Andi developed a conceptual design that inspired us to completely reconfigure our main entry, conference space, offices, restrooms - everything. Her design and construction administration allowed us to gut and remodel an entire floor in phases and within our financial means. It is no exaggeration to say that Andi saved the day and helped us realize a new identity at SGM.

Land + Shelter designed the remodel for a newly purchased office space that was previously a law office. The staff worked hard to determine our needs and incorporate our views into the design proposal and came back with multiple viable options. Their collaborative approach allowed us to refine the design to a very specific degree. Though some changes were made in the field, the finished product completely represents this partnership of ideas and we LOVE the completed space. The team checked in with us repeatedly throughout the construction process and were available for questions from contractors and the building inspector. We would highly recommend their services to others looking for architecture services!

I am a first time client for any sort of construction or home building; and know of Land + Shelter from a referral. Their attention to detail, but non-overwhelming presence was a great vibe for my small budget project. I worked with Land and Shelter on a commercial building purchase, land use planning and remodel for my business, Studio for Arts + Works 2 (SAW), in Carbondale, CO. Working with their team was a complete pleasure and an incredibly efficient process, far exceeding expectations and enabling the SAW business to become dynamic and successful. The project was to convert a tired, 1980's pre-fab metal warehouse into art studios and office spaces. The challenges were to inexpensively create something which remained industrial in feel, yet provided spaces where a variety of artists and creative professionals would be inspired to work. The 7,000 sq ft building needed significant aesthetic, mechanical and physical updating. Throughout the process the team approached each aspect with grace, knowledge and inventiveness. Some examples of this include solving insulation issues simultaneously with increasing natural light by using innovative materials and focusing on details while keeping the large picture clearly defined. Also, they worked worked seamlessly with the town building department to create a great relationship and recommended a contractor who was a perfect fit for myself and the scope of work. In this project, we came in well under budget and well under the time estimates. I continue to work with Land and Shelter on potential commercial construction for expanding the SAW projects.
