The Staging and Design House

We hired The Staging & Design House Inc. to stage our townhouse; they came recommended by our real estate agent. While the team was genuinely lovely to deal with, professional, responsive, and great customer service throughout, we were ultimately disappointed with the staging itself. The initial setup was sparse. Our agent actually had to purchase additional items just to fill the space adequately. When we raised our concerns, the team did return and add a few more pieces, which we appreciated. However, the feedback we consistently received from potential buyers was that the furniture felt outdated and the staging didn't match the style of the home. One thing that was not made clear upfront: each rental term is only 30 days. This is important information for any seller to know before signing, as it directly affects your timeline and budget. We did sell, but the experience was frustrating. When a company comes recommended by your agent, you expect the result to reflect your home in its best light. The people are great, we just wish the product matched their service.

Lucy has been a huge help to me as I prepared to sell my late mother's house. She is a delight to work with and is very good at what she does. The house looks amazing! She provided great value, and made suggestions to me on how to keep my costs down while emptying and preparing the house for sale. Her recommendations for service providers were excellent, and her contractor Mel deserves special mention for really going above and beyond.
