We had an extremely challenging project, constructing a new room and bathroom above our garage. We had some preconceived ideas about what it might look like, but Magda came up with a totally creative alternative that knocked our socks off! Looking at our house from the outside, the new addition appears as if it has always been there. Inside, there is a new hallway to pocket doors that lead to a luxurious guestroom/game room with ensuite bathroom. Magda’s ideas for the bathroom were so exciting that we immediately decided to have her re-design our master bathroom as well. Her creative ideas and attention to detail is extraordinary. Finally, Magda was with us for every step of this journey. She was always available for in-person consults and advice. My husband, Jerry Cromwell, has added to this review with more specifics about our project.

We were extremely pleased with our project from start to finish. What began with the thought we wanted to restore our kitchen and bathroom drawers and cupboards ended with a primary bathroom and closet worthy of a very fancy hotel! From our first meeting with Magda, we realized that working with Neil Kelly Company was as much about the process and the people as it was about the actual project. Magda is a great listener and she skillfully guided us as we rolled out ideas and thoughts about what we wanted. We were very comfortable with the way she began with a general scope of the remodel, narrowed our focus with discussion about feasibility and costs, then presented multiple scenarios for each facet or area of the job. This all took place over several meetings, both in-person and via Zoom. Magda has a huge range of knowledge about products and finishes, and as she came to understand our sensibilities, we were constantly amazed at the components she was able to pull together to achieve our goals. She has remained totally accessible throughout the project, always ready with an answer or a willingness to research things. As i mentioned, this was as much about the experience as it was about the work. When design work was final, we were presented with very detailed timelines as to what would happen when, who would be doing it, and what we could expect in terms of displacement from parts of our home. To every extent possible in this time of product delays and uncertainties, our project was completed on time and on budget. We had a walk-through the other day with Magda and Ashley (our project manager) and it was really fun to see Magda get to witness our mutual vision in real life. As i told her the other day, it's not just the aesthetic she created, which in our opinion is beautiful, but it is the ease of use and efficiency that her design gave us. Even though almost every surface and fixture is completely new to us, the functionality and intuitive design elements gave us immediate comfort in our new surroundings. Magda and the Neil Kelly team are truly outstanding to work with. Ashley was a day to day presence on the job and a great asset to help us navigate through the jobs, and together with Ron, our primary carpenter, they have all become friends in our eyes. Indeed, we have actually missed all of their comings and goings now that the project is complete.

We couldn't be happier with Magda and Neil Kelly! We had an architecturally challenging bathroom remodel. Magda came up with 3 beautiful options at various price points, we selected one, and away we went! The project was done on a vary specific schedule which was adhered to completely (even when we, of course, added a few extra requests). Magda was with us not just for the design, but every step of the way. She listened so well to what our vision was, and took care of so much of the research, bringing us appropriate and well thought out samples to choose from-it couldn't have been easier for us. We are thrilled with the whole experience and our final product exceeded our expectations.

It was a pleasure working with Magda during our kitchen remodel. Throughout the process, Magda was professional and courteous. We told her what our vision was and how much we wanted to spend, and she, and her design assistant, Amanda, presented us with design and product options that were not only functional but beautiful!. Magda was an absolute pleasure to work with in every aspect. She helped me with all the many details of a full bathroom remodel and the result was everything I could have hoped for. She is incredibly thorough and on top of every detail and is a very creative designer. She helped me navigate a complicated tile design and spent a lot of time getting the design absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend her for any project and I'm sorry I can't work with her again only because I have no other remodeling projects left!

Magda and the Neil Kelly team were invaluable to my husband and I as we embarked on our first ever remodelling project. We had the big idea of what we hoped to accomplish, but no idea how to tackle the zillion little decisions that would accomplish the dream. Magda asked a lot of questions throughout the process and then presented choices that were manageble rather than overwhelming. My biggest fear was outstripping our available budget, but her upfront, honest style calmed my early fears and I am happy to say we finished on target. We LOVE the finished product and it was worth every penny spent.

Magda Zafer and the Neil Kelly Company designed and built for me a kitchen that is perfect for my needs. It is efficient, works perfectly for two people and replaced a tiny inefficient, outdated and worn galley kitchen. It is also a beautiful kitchen that fits with the overall design of my home. Magda is so easy to work with; very talented, pleasant, reassuring and super responsive. She can help with great suggestions for any design conundrum. Everyone at Neil Kelly, including Mike Dotson and all the tradesmen were invariably helpful, responsive, kind and good at their jobs. Mike is an excellent project manager. It has been a year since I started working with Magda on various projects for our home. The first was a total laundry room remodel. We doubled the size. Magda listened to everything I wanted and incorporated my wants and needs into the design. The result is a beautiful room that is functional, but also is a wonderful place to display my collection of antique laundry items. The second project which is in progress now is an exterior makeover of our house and a new deck. Again, Magda really listened to what I wanted, is very supportive and has designed a great plan for us. I so enjoy our visits as she genuinely is interested in our lives. She always takes as much time I need to spend discussing the projects. I couldn't be happier working with her. A great professional and a great friend.

We are so happy with the job Magda Zafer and the whole Neil Kelly team did on our home. The living room, dining room, family room and kitchen were all redone with hardwood floors, new fireplace, complete kitchen replacement. It has been almost a year now since we embarked on our “great bathroom remodel”. We procrastinated as long as we could, envisioning months of mess and inconvenience. When we observed the tenth anniversary of the duct tape in the upstairs bathroom, we realized we couldn’t wait any longer. As soon as we started working with Magda and the crew from Neil Kelly, we knew we were in good hands. Magda worked with our crazy schedule and even crazier design ideas to help us create a space that is not only beautiful, but functional and easy to maintain. Magda provided subtle hints and advice as we selected materials with an eye towards ensuring our choices would stand the test of time and fit our budget. We felt confident that we knew how the job would unfold, thanks to Mike and his weekly check-ins and comprehensive calendar. Meeting all of the trades people prior to the commencement of work gave us the peace of mind that we would not have any surprises and that our home and puppy were in good hands. All of the crews were meticulous and worked hard to ensure that the chaos of the remodeling was limited to the bathrooms. Mike always went above and beyond expectations to ensure we were comfortable and the work met our expectations. When the plumber had a schedule conflict, Mike appeared at our door at 7 pm on a Friday night to install our toilet! Due to outstanding design work, craftsmanship and materials, our bathrooms still look new and add incredible beauty, value and functionality to our home.
