Sam and his team remodeled a jack and jill bathroom that my children use. There were pre-existing issues with the piping which led to the remodel. Sam is very prompt, good at communicating and incorporated my design ideas into the remodel. He made sure I was happy with everything and was able to correct minor details to my liking. The whole process was very easy and my family is happy with the results. He also said if there were any issues in the future to please contact him. I appreciate the dedication to the final project and the customer's satisfaction. It speaks to the quality of the work.

Its hard to find good General Contractor as a sub contractor but Sam with Maker design group is a phenominal guy. He's really easy to work with and flexible, has respect and integrity, and always pays on time (this is rare with contractors). I would highly recommend Sam with the Maker Design group

Maker Design Group took our plans and created our dream ADU for our family. All design features of flooring, cabinets, fixtures, lighting, were suggested, then shown to us for approval. They were well-coordinated and enhanced every square inch of the structure. Sam, the president of Maker Design Group was actively involved in each step of the build from the reinforcements to the placement of walls, roof and stairs of a 2 bedroom project. Sam from MDG was great to work with with regards to our master bathroom remodeling. We were more or less novices when it comes to design and materials and he did a great job consulting with us and making recommendations. When the time came to do the demo and upgrade work, his guys were always on time and worked efficiently with few interruptions in between. They were also taking care not to cause unnecessary dirt and dust and protected our light carpet in the bedroom and up the stairs. Throughout the process, Sam kept us up-to-date on who was going to come when and for what purpose. The shower glass guys ran into some snags and had issues with damage to the glass panels, which delayed finishing the project some, but stuff like that happens. After the install, we noticed the shower was not draining fast enough and had a wet spot where water was pooling on the floor. Sam and crew came back spent several hours taking care of that issue for us. I would definitely recommend MDG to others and would not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

We used Maker Design Group (MDG) for an extensive remodel of our Dana Point house. The entire upstairs (living room, kitchen, dining room, powder room, and master bedroom and bathroom) was redone, to the point that a single twelve-foot wall was the only interior wall that did not move. Samuel and his team at MDG were a complete pleasure to work with. Samuel worked hard to understand what we were trying to accomplish in the remodel, suggested alternatives when appropriate – or when the budget required it – and generally maintained excellent communication throughout the process. Remodeling in the middle of a global pandemic had its challenges. Getting someone from the power company out to approve our new meter or dealing with an appliance that came in six months later than promised are two quick examples. Even when suppliers or other outside elements caused delays or issues, Samuel was always able to reschedule work with his team so that delays were minimized. We never had a delay due to someone from MDG team not being available. They were 100% reliable. Overall, we are delighted with the result and happy to have worked with MDG. We’d use them again in a minute and gladly recommend them to others looking for an expert remodel team.

MDG provided excellent project execution on a complete remodel of our master bedroom and en suite master bath. I know a thing or two about renovation, having worked with several contractors on a variety of projects over the years. My most important criterion in selecting a contractor is prompt and straightforward communications, with full transparency. Sam Quinta excels in this regard. But what became most appreciated is that Sam and his team work so hard to make sure the client is satisfied. There are always speed bumps in any project. The issue is how they're dealt with. MDG works tirelessly to ensure that the end result is to the client's satisfaction and that the execution is flawless. Sam works to the highest ethical standard. One other note, Sam does a great job of following architect/designer specs and communicating with your design team. The sourcing and timely delivery of materials is a real strength as well. Sam at Maker Design Group is your man for your home renovation needs. I hired Maker Design Group first for bathroom tiling. After seeing the final product, I awarded them the job for interior painting and kitchen cabinet install. I was most impressed with the tiling job. The attention to detail surpassed my expectations. I did 3 full new bathrooms and I can't decide which is my favorite. Plus, they were very considerate of cleanliness and meeting timelines. He also got me the lowest bid by far for painting my whole house with new walls. The painting crew even came back at a moment's notice to do touch ups and paint new items (some doors, trims, baseboards, etc.). The cabinet installers were able to work with my custom island cabinetry install even though the pricing given was for off the shelf pieces only. All tradesmen that came through Maker Design Group were very flexible and understanding. Sam was able to deliver quality at an unbeatable price (and I did quite a bit of price shopping). He reassured me of all my worries and fears (such as care with my newly refinished wood floors). He is incredibly easy to work with and is extremely responsive. His priority is customer satisfaction and he visits the site to ensure that work is meeting expectations. I was very impressed with Maker Design Group’s results and professionalism. I will be hiring them again for future home projects.
