Horrible communications, waited 9 months for a marble table initially reported as "In stock". No communications about status, repeatedly misled as to where it was. Well. It arrived and it is atrocious. Stans in marble, seams open with resin seeping out. It is useless. They offered me a $500 discount ($4000 item) if I would take down negative review. This is not a reputable company to deal with. Happy to post emails and pictures making this irrefutable

I have never had such a horrible experience with a company. I purchased this marble table because it was significantly cheaper than other similar marble tables online however I greatly regret it. When I received the table, I noticed how shitty the quality was so I requested to return it. From the very beginning, the order did not ship so I followed up with them after 3 to 4 weeks and it did not arrive to me until nearly 2 months after I ordered it. When I requested to return it, similar situation where I had to follow up multiple times to return. They provided a return address that UPS could not ship to because they listed several towers of condos. I was finally able to get the correct address after many back-and-forth emails with MHD. Several weeks after I returned it, I never heard from the company so I again had to follow up several times via email. They then stated that the table was chipped during shipment and they requested that I file a claim with FedEx. They stated that once I did that, they would refund me. However, when I did file the claim and emailed MHD to let them know that I had, they stated that FedEx would be the one to refund me. I am having issues with this claim and it is being denied. The table was $1000 plus I paid $186 to ship it back to ensure it for the full value of the table. Manhattan home design is a scam company and I would never recommend ordering a single thing from this company to anyone. I am out of nearly $1200 and have nothing to show for it.

Ordered a marble block table from them in July, was told initially when i called it would be 2-3 weeks, but after i ordered they confirmed it would be 11 weeks. Zero communication, five months later, not a word, and they say "maybe March"...some eight months after I ordered. This was after I called, they never emailed at all to let me know what is happening. The agent told me "oh, you cant cancel..its a custom order (meaning they dont actually stock these, they just order). They put the blame on Donald Trump and tariffs, but me waiting 8 months for a table I can buy locally this afternoon for the same price because they worry they will have to pay a tariff is not acceptable. worse, they cant be bothered to let the customer know. This is not how to do business, customer communications are awful and they have no real concern over fact i sit in limbo six months wondering what is happening only to learn that nothing is happening. Go elsewhere. Now that I research them I see this is a constant pattern for them.

BE WARNED! I have ordered a lot of furniture over the years, and I have never had an experience like the one I just had with Manhattan Home Design. The item I received was completely crushed on one side without any damage to the exterior of the box (aside from a pinky-sized hole in the cardboard nowhere near the damaged portion). Because I accepted the item from the shipper, Manhattan Home Design is unable to submit an insurance claim with the shipping company. Since they cannot do that, they will not repair, replace, or otherwise refund the item, which cost thousands of dollars and was obviously damaged. As a result, they have saddled me with their broken furniture and have said there is nothing they "can" do about it. Please be warned that this is not a business that meets any reasonable ethical standard. If you have damaged items, they will not behave in a way that invites future business or leads to any semblance of customer satisfaction.

The plywood material of the chair began separating within the first month. MHD customer service was slow to respond. For months they kept telling me a replacement was on the way and then it was delayed but will be here by this date. Around and around for months and months. They have stopped responding to my email inquiries and when I call they keep telling me I need to deal with customer service via email. I feel like I have been ripped off, repeatedly lied to and now they just want me to go away because they have no intention of doing anything about the damaged chair.

After I communicated via email with the guys from customer service I thought the shipping would take a little longer, I wasn't sure if I was being understood at first but a phone call did clear a lot of things. I purchased a very beautiful Tulip Table, and sorry to the seller for not including pictures (I usually get my grandson to help with that). The packaging came in great condition and the process of choosing the table was good, I had no issues except for the fact that they initially offered a product that wasn't in stock. That got corrected quickly. Recommended.

I ordered a Womb Chair from this company which was listed as "in stock". I heard nothing from this company for 10 days despite calling, emailing and online chatting numerous times. Getting in contact with someone at the company is impossible. They do not return emails and they have no customer service number. I finally got in touch with someone in their sales department who admitted that the item was probably out of stock and told me I could not speak with anyone in customer service. He did give me a customer service email. When customer service emailed me back they offered no apologies, just an arrogant "you'll get it in 6 weeks and you'll love it when you have it". I told them I wanted to cancel the order but heard nothing back. Beware, this companies cancellation policies and return polices are byzantine and opaque. I now have to take this to my credit card company since I cannot get a straight answer from this company about whether my order is cancelled.

Very positive experience overall. I wanted to revamp my living room without spending a fortune nor replacing all my furniture. We ended up adding a new dining table, some cool, modern chairs and placing their Eames Lounge Chair reproduction almost in the center of the room. It really adds personality to the whole environment. Customer support was fantastic and the prices are competitive. Thanks!
