I am fortunate to have worked with Maris on two homes, both with different budgets and styles- one was California cool and the other is much warmer and rich in texture and color. Maris is an incredible listener, a gentle guide, and extremely patient. Her eye for color and texture is incredible. She is comfortable working with a range of budgets and is mindful of when you don't really need to spend a lot to get a certain look. On top of all of her design talent, she is a lovely person and an absolute joy to be around.

Hi hired Maris to help with a major remodel to my SW Austin home in 2018. It was a worn out 1990s look and I wanted to create something beautiful and inviting, that was reflective of my own sensibilities. We removed a kitchen wall and opened up the space between the kitchen and living room, and I could not be happier with the final result. I'm partial to white and dark contracting colors, and minimalist simple details, and open concept. Maris suggested a Modern Farmhouse look and walked me through all of the selections. She is a good listener, patient and has good ideas. She kept me focused when I started to drift, but without being bossy or controlling. I highly recommend Maris for any redesign project you may be contemplating. She has good vision and is able to see the possibilities of a home and guide you through the process.

We bought our house about 3 years ago. I had already purchased a lot furniture etc but just could not get it to flow together and feel pulled together. In comes Maris. She was able to make the stuff I had already bought work beautifully. My house is full of built ins and they look incredible thanks to Maris. Whats more is that she sticks to a budget. No one would ever guess that my book shelves were mostly styled from home goods. She does a great job of mixing high end pieces with target and home goods treasures. Thanks Maris! Maris helped transform my house into my "home." She was mindful of my budget and creative with my existing pieces (some of which I was ready to toss, but Maris found a home). Maris also added tasteful pieces to my home, some of which she picked out for me while she was out and about and others that we both identified when Maris took me shopping with her (so fun!). Maris helped me with everything from paint colors to designing a custom kitchen island and picking out window treatments. She put her "clean and crisp" touch on every room in my house. Maris worked with my style but also introduced me to other design concepts. She took the time to educate me on interior design and to get to know me/my style to ensure my home reflected my wants/personality. Maris is so talented at making your home reflect YOU. She has a knack for designing on a budget, using things you already own while mixing in interesting new pieces that enhance your style. We also loved her ideas for arranging our furniture---she made everything fit and flow perfectly!
