Mattingly Construction

I contacted Mattingly construction in January and chose to wait til June on Chris Mattingly. Not because he was the cheapest or the quickest to get my job done but because his finished product is the best! My wood flooring and Mattingly original mantel and bookcases are beyond my expectations!

Chris did a beautiful job on some kitchen work for me. I was in the middle of updating my kitchen and I had a tile backsplash that I was trying to preserve in the process. Chris removed the laminate backsplash attached to the tile and replaced some tiles that had been cut around the microwave. His work was so precise! No tiles were damaged which was a huge concern as I only had 10 extra tiles to work with and 8 of those were going in as replacements for some partial tiles that had been cut around the microwave. The best repair job is one that does not look like a repair job and that is what Chris did for us. I will definitely call him again!

In dealing with Mattingly Construction Co, I felt like I was dealing with someone who cared about me as a person, and saw my home for what it is---my Home, and not just another job. I believe the level of care Chris showed in tearing down my old walls, installing new insulation, putting up drywall and priming it all was the same level of care he would have shown to his own home. All I had to do was leave the room on a Monday morning and he moved my furniture and carpeting to a storage area, re-did the walls, cleaned up before he left each night and from time to time let my dogs out so I didn't have to come home from work. If I didn't see him some days he texted me his plans so I always knew what was going on. It was like family. I've employed several contractors over the years to do similar type jobs, and they've all done good jobs, but the care Chris put into doing a good job makes him the contractor I will call for my next reno.

Chris has helped me with numerous projects and has always delivered above average craftsmanship with timely completion of work. His attention to detail shows in everything he does, be it framing out a new room, installing and finishing drywall, tiling, installing laminate flooring, it seems like there is nothing this guy can’t do. He is very neat in his work and a great communicator. I would highly recommend him and will most definitely call on him in the future for my next renovation project.

After completing our stunning custom staircase to perfection we once again presented Mattingly Construction with a photo - this time of our vision for the guest bathroom. And once again Chris came through with flying colors! From converting a tub/shower to a tiled walk- in shower to an entire tiled focal point wall with custom vanity Chris created our spa-like bath with his ever-present attention to detail. As is the norm with Chris, no request is out of the question and no detail is unattainable. We hired Chris to remodel our master bathroom after hearing rave reviews from work colleagues. He was very professional and his work is excellent. He paid very specific attention to detail during the process and made sure that his work was flawless. For example, the house is almost 100 years old and is shifting, so the bathroom is not square any longer. He took extra time (at no charge) to re-do the ceilings and walls so that the bathroom would look perfect. We are very pleased with his work and would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Chris Mattingly is a stickler for details. His work ethic is top notch and he is a true craftsman. You could not ask for a better contractor. He is honest, fair, respectful and will work to make you happy. We have worked with Chris on two occasions. The first was the installation of our kitchen back splash for which we get great compliments every time someone sees it. Most recently we hired Chris to do two complete bathroom remodels and to install hardwood flooring on our entire first floor. We could not be happier with the results. Chris is a perfectionist and works until each step of the project meets his high standards. He takes the time needed to do the job the right way. We would highly recommend Mattingly Construction for any job you have in mind.

I would highly recommend Mattingly Construction to anyone looking to hire a contractor for a project. Chris Mattingly was very easy to get along with, he was punctual, hard working, and organized. We had Chris build us a 12x12 deck for our house and we could not be happier with the final product, it is truly a beautiful deck and shows his high level of craftsmanship. We have had many compliments on our deck from family and friends who have come to our house since it was built. We will not hesitate to use Mattingly Construction again in the future for any projects we may need done.

Mattingly Construction remodeled one full bathroom in my home; including, removing the old tub, toilet, sink/vanity, removing floor and wall tile, removing one wall down to the studs, replacing insulation, repair to walls and painting, building linen closet shelves, installing new tub/toilet/sink and vanity, light fixtures, fan and light over the tub, painting, etc. The whole process was completed within the agreed upon time frame. Disruption to house routines and activities was minimized. I can recommend Mattingly Construction with a high level of confidence. I plan to schedule additional work to my home with Mattingly Construction.

Chris Mattingly remodeled our entire basement and did an excellent job. All the work was done with attention to detail and quality and he worked around our schedules. We will definitely use him for future projects.

This was my first venture in house remodeling and I couldn't have picked a better contractor to remodel my bathroom. Mattingly Construction was repectful to my needs. They bent over backwards to make sure my husband and I had all of our expectations met. The work, which consisted of floor and wall tiling, glazing of the bath tub, new sink and sink console, new toilet, new closet shelves, new plugs with a night light installed along with painting, was completed perfectly. Mattingly Construction did all of their work on time with little to no mess. They are hard workers, making sure they utilized all their time on our job. Mattingly Construction did a complete tear out and remodel of the kitchen in my 106 year-old home. Mattingly Construction handled nearly all aspects of the remodel, including demolition, extensive electrical, plumbing, and duct work, drywall, lighting, painting, installation of flooring and cabinetry, and finish work. Granite installation was the only part of the project that the company did not do. The level of craftsmenship is amazing. I was so impressed with the outcome (and the cost) that I had the company then remodel a first floor half-bath, with a superb result. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mattingly Construction.
