Megan has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She created a space that I truly love - one I could never have put together on my own. The furniture she selected is mostly American-made and of higher quality than anything I’ve ever owned before. I began working with her in November 2024, and the project (furnishing and decorating the entire house, practically) has been ongoing for about six months now. For anyone considering hiring an interior designer, here are a few details I would have found helpful before starting: * Cost: Expect to spend around 20–25% of your home’s market value. Make sure you have the budget saved up in advance. I paid for most of the furniture in one lump sum - it wasn’t a pay-as-you-go arrangement. * Process: The typical flow goes like this: initial consultation → design proposal → furniture selection and ordering → painting → furniture delivery (this takes the longest!) → finishing touches like art and draperies. As someone who had never worked with a designer before and who grew up very middle class, I really appreciated how patient and clear Megan was throughout the entire process. She made me feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.

Working with Megan has been an absolute delight from start to finish. She helped furnish nearly every room in our home, and the results have truly transformed our space. Megan took the time to ask thoughtful questions, really listened to our needs, and then delivered a design portfolio that exceeded every expectation. Her eye for detail is impeccable—she’s a perfectionist in the best sense—but she’s also warm, approachable, and wonderfully flexible. Whether we were debating fabric swatches or discussing layout changes, Megan was always quick to respond with creative solutions. She found pieces that not only look stunning, but also feel comfortable and work seamlessly with our home and lifestyle. We’ve already recommended her to several friends and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again on future projects (just don’t tell my husband I’m already thinking about that!). Megan impressed me so much! She is incredibly creative, organized, professional, and helpful. She understands interior design on so many levels. Not only can she help you with furniture, paint, wall paper, textiles but she can draw architectural plans. We embarked on a huge remodel in a tight timeline. She connected me with an amazing contractor and we got straight to work planning the renovation. She was able to draw many floor and design plans for the bathroom, kitchen, and mudroom. She understands construction well enough to know what is possible and what needs to be worked around. Her expertise and vision were invaluable. Once we had the structural plan in place she helped me pick out paint colors, wall paper, light fixtures, cabinets, tile, etc. I would have made many mistakes without her help! In the end using her services saved me money!

I hired Megan (best decision ever!) to do a complete renovation of a condo I bought after moving to the area. The condo had great potential, but needed a lot of work. Megan has transformed it into a lovely coastal home that is both a testament to her skill in design and also very much "me". For a complete “down to the studs” remodel of a 1988 bathroom suite into a 2023 primary bath, we used Megan Reiley and Seriously Sari Interiors. My contractor recommended her as someone he was impressed with when he worked with her before. From our first meeting I knew she was right for the job. She completely understood my ideas for the project, even if they were a little sketchy. I wanted modern & functional with a touch of Japanese design simplicity and beauty. She had enough experience to show me several samples of the materials we used without overwhelming me with dozens. In every instance there was a perfect choice. She handled the changes I made with grace. She never tried to talk me into more than I wanted, There were so many details she was able to walk me through, which I hadn’t anticipated or known about. That alone made hiring a designer worthwhile and in addition Megan was professional, experienced, always responsive through email or phone calls, and on time for appointments. We would gladly work with her again.

Megan designed our dream bathroom. From start to finish she listened to what we wanted and gave a beautiful bathroom. She was very easy to work with and quickly got back to us with any questions or concerns we had.

Megan Trachtman Reiley is a superior interior designer. She initially helped me with a small project and I was so impressed with her aesthetic that I hired her to do a complete overhaul of my Bay house. The final product was stunning, so much so that when I later sold my home, the buyers inquired about purchasing all of the furnishings, too! Megan is now designing my new home.
