It wasn't a small remodel but it wasn't huge either. I say this because I never felt that my project had less attention to detail because Melodie had other, bigger projects. Her subs were superb. The project took longer than expected but I didn't mind. The people she uses were thorough professionals. They didn't mind explaining what they were doing by the same token they were very efficient. And Melodie was always evaluating progress. I felt I found the perfect combination of quality at a reasonable cost. Getting the lowest bid usually results in the poorest quality. Thank you Melodie.

After our initial meeting, Melodie brought with her all of the trades that would be working on our project to our second visit the following week. It was a very constructive and positive appraisal process that I've ever witnessed. The real time, collective interactions between each trade and what they would do and why was the main reason we had an excellent and timely outcome. Our interactions with Melodie throughout the project were collaborative and supportive of our wants and needs. This included fixtures, heated tiled floors, paint colors, granite type and style, shower glazing and other details. Melodie and her subcontractors are top notch, every time. I've used her company for several different projects and they have consistently come in on-budget and on-time every time. They are professional, knowledgeable, helpful and provide excellent service in every way. I've used them to replace the floors in 90% of my home, paint the entire interior of my home, and install pull out drawers in my lower kitchen cabinets.

Melodie is very professional and very approachable…2 things that don’t always go together. As a person with very little sense of design myself, I found this ability of hers to be quite an asset! She guided me, yet always gave me choices and helped me end up with exactly what I wanted (even though I wasn’t sure what that was in the beginning!) I love my new kitchen and family room. Melodie is a joy to work with. We removed all our carpeting, put in hardwood floors, baseboards, painted the entire inside of the house and completely changed the fireplace to a stunning focal point. She designed everything to perfection while making sure I was in agreement. The workers she has do the work are beyond experts and go far beyond the basics. Not only are they exceptional but also fun to have in my home. I highly recommend Distinctive Interiors for any decorating or remodeling. I will certainly hire her again.

Melodie is a great designer and project manager. I have worked with her for several years now on a dozen or so jobs, and she is able to keep all the pieces of a project on schedule and the final look of the project is stellar.

Melodie Patton helped my husband and me to redesign our kitchen, which included choosing the color and style of new granite counters, determining the style, design and color of new cabinets and kitchen fixtures, the color of wall paint and deciding on the new stain for our wood flooring. We have worked with Melodie Patton of Distinctive Interiors for a year and a-half. She was invaluable in helping us make the myriad decisions involved in a remodel. She assisted us in choosing surfaces, paint colors, cabinets, tile, lighting, furniture and a beautiful rug. She found fabrics and hired a seasmstress to make cushions for our banquette, pillows and throws. She helped with room layouts and with the selection and framing of artwork, both for our home and my outside office.
