Mimi and her company were spectacular, professional, flexible in working with capturing your look with a price within your budget and, most importantly, exceptionally on point in executing on a design that fits your needs. I wanted something very difficult to execute - a glamorous great room that balanced comfort with elegance and some Asian chinoiserie influence. I was skeptical that any designer could pull this off but Mimi met all of our needs with flying colors! And she is extremely willing to work within budget constraints and provide several options. Do not think twice if you are looking for an amazing decorator!!

We started working with Mimi to design our family room and accessorize our newly renovated kitchen about six months ago. She did an amazing job understanding our needs as a family of five and blending that with a very fresh and modern style. And she really took the time to answer our questions and find alternatives when needed. Our family room and kitchen came together beautifully!! Mimi then took on a quick project of designing our sitting room with a time constraint of just a couple of weeks. She managed to use a tight budget and put together an amazing room using some existing pieces. We have been so pleased with Mimi's vision and stellar customer service and are currently working on designing our living room and dining room with her. She has us hooked!

Mimi was a joy to work with. She made the experience fun and delivered beyond expectations. She took time to genuinely understand our taste (and help us discover our taste), functional needs, and then she came up with creative, beautiful ideas that transformed our space beyond recognition on a budget. She also helped recommend paint colors for surrounding rooms that would complement our new room even though we were only doing one room with Mimi. Mimi truly went above and beyond, however, with the way she transformed the room in a day WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN, and we came home WITH COMPANY to a brand new, beautiful space ready for entertaining our guests. We, our guests included, were blown away at the attention to detail Mimi provided in her execution. Friends and family continue to complement on our new space even though they have seen it for a few months now. We can't wait to do more work with Mimi. A true professional, excellent in her craft, extremely friendly and enjoyable to work with.

It was truly a pleasure working with Mimi. We wanted to update our formal living and dining rooms while keeping some key pieces of furniture. Mimi did a wonderful job finding just the right pieces that achieved the look we wanted while still working with the furniture that we were keeping. She presented a couple of options and we were able to quickly select the ones that we wanted. I really appreciated that she was able to do this in such a short amount of time. She not only listened to us but presented great designs that appealed to us. She went above and beyond and created beautiful flower arrangements and found accent pieces to complete the look in both rooms. When Mimi was done, we had two completely new rooms that looked beautiful. It was truly a pleasure to work with Mimi.

My husband and I went to at least half dozen furniture stores and set on at least two dozen leather sofas and love seats. Every couch we set on my husband had a complaint. It was either too soft, too low, too deep and so on.... I was so frustrated, we wasted so much time..time that we didn't have to begin with. So, I finally called Mimi. I told her exactly what we were looking for, what we liked and didn't like. A few months later our sofa and love seat arrived. It was perfect! Exactly what we wanted, not one complaint from my husband so far. We also order a custom breakfast table with 6 chairs and a formal dining room table. We are so happy with our purchase through Mimi. My only regret was not calling Mimi sooner.

I worked with Mimi on selecting draperies for my home -- she is an amazing designer. She has a great eye for color, style, and can visualize how everything will fit together. She got an idea of what I wanted and then selected fabric samples to bring to my home. Mimi took the time to look at the many samples with me and never made me feel rushed. It's difficult for me to take time off work and she was willing to work around my schedule which meant a lot to me. I couldn't be happier with the end result - Mimi helped me create a beautiful, timeless living space that I am proud to call my home. I have received many compliments from guests on my draperies as well as the other subtle changes Mimi suggested to add some "pop" to my rooms. I would highly recommend Mimi because she has a true passion for interior design and it definitely shows in her work.

I have hired Mimi to decorate multiple rooms in my house, indoor and outdoor. Each time she has been the consummate professional with great style. She turned my bedroom from dull cluttered playroom mess to sophisticated glam hotel room. My family room from wide open abyss to well accessorized warm gathering space. And my outdoor patio from drab to fab. She's awesome!

She has a natural ability to transform ideas into elegant results. We found her easy to work with, flexible, fun, and enjoyable - truly dedicated and driven. We had a new home with no character, style, or design. Mimi listened to us regarding our style preferences and needs, and then transformed our house into a fantastic European elegant home that looks far better than the model home in our subdivision.

Mimi was excellent! The work I had done was a powder room and family room. She always offered many selections and kept my own taste in mind. She also coordinated all the work that had to be completed so I did not have to worry about anything. I am so thrilled with the final result. It is not a "cookie-cutter" look that I could have done myself, it is truly a beautiful and one-of-a -kind design that combines both beauty and function. I would recommend Mimi Wilson to anyone.

I just moved into my loft in Adams Morgan, and found Mimi Wilson through a mutual friend. When she came by for a consultation, she was friendly and had some really unique ideas. I was really surprised how she was able to design within my limited budget and still make it look amazing! I would definitely recommend her!

After moving into our townhouse, we were looking to re-paint the interior but didnt know where to get started. We had a general idea of a certain color scheme but didnt know what colors complimented each other or how to tackle the entire house to ensure each room was distinct. Mimi was very accommodating to meet with us in the evening after we came home from work. She was very knowledgeable in helping us select colors for each room and thoughtfully explained how various colors complemented each other and they flow from one room to the next. She was very professional, patient and we felt that we could trust her guidance right off the bat. With Mimi's help we ended up designing a color scheme for the living space, dining room, kitchen/breakfast nook, master bedroom, basement/den and office/crafting room. I want to add in that she paid extra special attention to the office / crafting room since we did not want it to be too feminine as it was going to be used by both genders. She provided a very nice mock-up with detailed images and comments explaining how the space could be effectively utilized. I thought this was truly helpful being able to actually envision what the room would look like when completed. The last item was turning an under the stairs closet into a wet bar. Again, she provided a well thought out mock-up with images, options and comments explaining how it could be ultimately set up. It was a very unique vision but one that really got us excited to take on the project. Mimi was very responsive throughout the entire process when we had questions and as an end result, we couldnt be happier with the end result! Mimi is great and I would recommend her to anyone!
