Wallpaper and gas fireplaces?

Hi there Mimi, I am an interior designer and I have a client who is wanting to wallpaper the fireplace wall as you have in this project. Are you able to help me with what you were advised with regards to heat transferance? Is it ok to install on the setback wall but not the face that the gas fireplace is installed into? Hi! Sure, I can help. With wallpaper, it's typically okay to apply it to the setback wall since the heat is mainly focused towards the front. I would not apply it to the surface where the fireplace opening is located. For this project, however, the setback wall was done with a stencil which was time consuming! But wallpaper would have been just fine. I hope that helps!
