John with Moss Custom Homes recently did our full kitchen remodel and he was exceptional. Our kitchen is beautiful and even better than we imagined. John is a perfectionist and has a great group of contractors that he works with very well. He was on site almost daily making sure things were going according to plan and made sure our house was cleaned up at the end of the day. I didn't stress about things because I knew John was doing it for me! The one thing that impressed us the most is that he listened to us. He paid attention to every detail and communicated with us throughout to make sure we were getting the kitchen we wanted. He even came out on a Saturday, when I decided I didn't like the color of the tile I chose, to be sure it was taken out without damaging the cabinets. He did some of that work himself to be sure it was right...completely impressed us. Everyone says kitchen remodels are stressful--this was anything but. I'd hire John again in a minute because I know it will be done well and will recommend him to everyone. Moss Custom Homes is an outstanding company.

John with Moss Custom Homes was a pleasure to work with. With John's help "we" built a massive pool side wooden pergola that was supported by classic square cement columns. Water pours into the pool from large scuppers mounted on top of the columns. He was a perfectionist with every detail attended to. John's experience with materials and options expanded our vision of the work scope and helped with the decision making process. The work was scheduled and then completed very satisfactorily and on schedule. Great job, great pricing and good experience.

Overall, we had an outstanding experience using John Ruyle, the owner of Moss Custom Homes! John was used to perform a large addition/remodel on our existing 1950's ranch home. The remodel included a master suite addition (master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet), new laundry room addition, new garage addition, and modifications to our existing front and back patios. We were incredibly happy with the service and professionalism of John. While there are many decisions and changes that occur over the course of a remodel, we always felt that John had our best interest (and budget) in mind. John was able to provide input and recommendations on technical issues, design considerations and materials to consider for our project. I had the good fortune of having John (Moss Construction) referred to me for my most current remodel project. I couldn't be more pleased with the way everything turned out. I have used John Ruyle of Moss Custom Homes for several projects: Total kitchen remodel with demolition of entire kitchen; creation of new skylight; installation of new, well made, cabinets; installation of new plumbing and new appliances; installation of granite cabinet tops and new backsplash; enlarged pantry; created new LED lighting in kitchen, laundry room and a bathroom, including undercabinet lighting in the kitchen. He replaced cabinets and plumbing in laundry room. He replaced about 1500 square feet of ceramic tile. He replaced an outside French door. He created new drainage from the backyard to the street. He painted more than half of the inside of the house. John and his designers created a unique design for the kitchen, including a large skylight. The pantry and desk area were combined to give a new appearance that unified the kitchen and the breakfast area. The cabinets were perfectly made and installed. The plumbing and appliance installation were done perfectly. He made sure that his subcontractors met his expectations for quality and punctuality. He inspected all work and had work redone to meet his expectations. He obtained all permits from the city and was present at all city inspections. Everything was kept as clean as possible during construction. After construction the entire house was thoroughly cleaned. The construction schedule was met as originally created and we moved back into the house on schedule.
