From start to finish, Numon was a pleasure to work with. We had our upstairs (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) remodeled. They walked us through the whole process, helping us pick out materials, paint, accents, etc. They guided us when we made bad choices (bad color coordination, for example) and let us know how each choice would affect the budget. Once the work got underway, the crew was always prompt, professional, and efficient. When they were finished, we LOVED the result. We've already began saving so that we can bring them back to redo our kitchen.

Another superb experience with the Numon team. Do not look further, this is the team you want to work with. The very definition of professional quality service. We found this contractor and designer very professional and easy to work with. They took our interests and ideas and incorporated them in the finished product. They were always on time and went out of their way to give us new ideas. George and his crew sayed on the job from start to finish without missing any days. Their job was finished when they said it would be. They were quiet and took great care in providing protective coverings for floors and furniture. If there were any small projects that needed seeing to, they were always willing to return to make sure we were happpy with the completed job. The designer was most helpful and so very easy too get along with. What a delight it was to be able to have trust and faith that everything went along so very well. The Numon Design team is absolutely superior! We first used them two years ago to redesign and install our kitchen. After a tree crushed our house earlier this year, we worked with them to design and install the conversion of a bedroom into a walk-in closet and the expansion of our master bathroom. All aspects of the project were thoroughly professional and easy. They have great ideas and are focused on the tiny details you may not think of, but which they are intimately familiar with. The tiler and plumber members of the team who came in periodically to work on just the portions of the project under their purview were experts in their fields. Zula and George, the husband and wife business owners, worked on our project from start to finish. They literally remade our home. They renovated our kitchen and two bathrooms, replaced all of the internal doors, painted much of the interior, installed light fixtures and recessed lighting, repaired many items in our 60+ year old home, and even made suggestions that we hadn’t thought of to put finishing touches on things. The workmen were extremely personable, neat, considerate, and hard working. And if adjustments needed to be made along the way, they were accommodating to the nth degree. We have recommended them to many friends and will continue to do so. We will be using them for any future projects of our own. We give them an A+++!

Recently, I had a kitchen renovation project designed and completed by Numon Design team. I was deeply thankful for their guidance through the whole process and very much amazed by their quality of services in every step. I especially want to thank the project manager (George), who keeps us informed of project progress and what to be done in the following days. There are no burdens added to us and we were able to enjoy our daily routines (such as attending exercise class in senior centers) without any interruptions. The project moves wonderfully smooth and were completed on time and in our humble budget, thanks to their friendly "Teamwork" approach and super coordination. It feels like an impossible dream has finally come true. Now we have a kitchen that completely meet our expectations and is up to our full satisfaction. My appreciation again to Numon Design team!

We contacted Numon after seeing their ad, and we are so glad that we did. Out of the 6-7 quotes that we received for updating two bathrooms in our 1960's home, Numon was the most competitive. Additionally, they itemized everything, which allowed us to customize the project (i.e. choosing what we would install and/or provide ourselves). They were also available to meet our timelines, completing one bathroom before Thanksgiving and one before Christmas/the birth of our son. George and Zula (husband/wife) are the owners, with George serving as the project lead and Zula as the design consultant. George has been in the remodeling business for 20+ years, working with many members of his team for just as long. George and his team have excellent attention to detail, and would always consult with us to ensure everything was being installed according to our desires. His team always showed up on time and worked diligently, ensuring they cleaned up after each day's work. They were friendly, personable, and nice to our kids. Zula was also very nice, helping us make some selections (flooring and bath tile), when we could not find anything we liked at local stores. Overall, we are thrilled with their craftsmanship and high quality of work. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your remodeling needs.

We were very happy to find Numon Design. We contracted for a small kitchen and powder room remodel and couldn't be more pleased with the final results. First contact to the final day of work was about 8 weeks. Zula demonstrated extensive experience with design, materials, and aesthetics, and she was extremely helpful providing options and recommendations to quickly close on a concept for our kitchen remodel. Their written proposal included a clearly written scope which made it easy for us to fine tune and quickly reach a negotiated price that was competitive with other bids we had explored. During the execution of work, Zula and George were very consistent about responding to our questions/concerns within 24hrs, and always to our satisfaction.

Needed to add a bathroom to my basement and a few other projects around my house. Zula was a great help with the picking of the designs and fixtures and saved me from a lot of stress. The work was completed in a timely and very professional manner. Excellent job and reasonable and open about prices. Can't wait to use Numon Designs again!

We hired Numon Design Build to remodel our entire kitchen. Initially, we met with Zula, the Designer, and discussed what we were looking for. Our kitchen was outdated and we wanted new appliances, hardwood floors, lighting, all new cabinetry, countertops and better use of space. She has an artistic eye for kitchen design and functionality and was very easy to work with. Zula made many helpful recommendations, including moving our pantry which gave us more counter space and allowed us to have a larger kitchen island with seating. Her understanding of what we wanted, made selecting the cabinetry, paint, countertops, flooring, etc. go very smoothly, She stayed within our budget requirements and had many helpful suggestions. Once we agreed on the scope of work and cost, George, the Project Manager, took over with his crews and made our design come to life. He worked directly with and oversaw the many demolition, electrical, plumbing, cabinet installation, and painting contractors required. Once the job began, they were there every day except when waiting on certain products to be delivered. We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and also the products used. In summary, we are very happy with our new kitchen. It is truly beautiful and we love spending time in it and entertaining friends and family. We completely trust George and Zula and highly recommend them! We hope to work with them again for our primary en suite bathroom remodel next year.

10/10 I would recommend Numon to anyone looking for a home renovation. We did a major project to update our kitchen from the original built in the 90s. Our new kitchen came out beautiful and we already love it. The construction was complete in a very timely manner and in line with expectations that Numon set up front. Throughout the process, George and Zula were available for questions and provided clear communication. We will use them again for our Master Bathroom.

The Numon Design Team was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Their estimate was competitive among the five estimates we received, the customer service was always timely, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of our master bathroom renovation. We had an excellent experience with Numon Design Build, who are top notch Professionals. Our kitchen remodel required a few complex changes that other companies refused to change, and advised us to keep our kitchen as is. When we met with Numon Design Build (Zula and George), they listened intently and asked questions to understand our wants/needs and provided creative, detailed solutions to those wants/needs. The project was completed in two weeks. We had already planned a quick trip prior to their completion, and when we arrived home, what a surprise to see the work complete! It was beautiful, and so impressive. We have been showing it off ever since and everyone loves it, especially us! These are just a few of the many things we appreciated about their Team: o They did a great job and were efficient. o When we discussed our wants/needs, Zula showed us examples of their previous work. o They always showed up on time, worked hard, and completed the project on schedule. o They cleaned up: •at the end of each day so that, although we were living in a work zone, it didn’t feel quite as much like one at night •by covering with plastic zip walls and covering any existing furnishings that were in or close to the construction zone o They communicated with us throughout the project regarding schedule, what they completed each day, what to expect for the next day, who would be arriving next and when to expect them. For example, they •Had architect and designer on staff; • Actually knew the highly skilled subcontractors ensuring our vision was executed to the highest possible quality; •Cared about the details, and; •Paid a lot of attention to the little things. o They understood the trust it takes to invite others into your home and they treated our place as a sacred space. We highly recommend Numon Design Build, and have plans for the next project already in the works. We can’t say enough good things about this company.

We love our renovated bathroom. We selected Numon because they were the only firm that would give us detail cost breakdown before signing the contract. Zula was great helping with design decisions. They worked on our bathroom while we were out of town and it was wonderful to come back to finish the job. I felt very comfortable leaving my house in their hands.

We recently did a kitchen remodel with Numon. This was a big transformation (put in on island where we had a peninsula before)-and required a total re-configuration of our kitchen. Numon was amazing. Zula helped us with our kitchen design, was extremely patient, had great suggestions, and went above and beyond. The construction was all done by George and his crew. George came every day to watch the crew and worked with them. They came on time (or earlier), left at 5 or later, were considerate, clean and the best construction team we ever had. We had construction people before (remodeled bathrooms, finished a basement, etc.) and Numon was by far the best contractor we ever worked with. Their workmanship was fantastic and all their subs were superb. The job cost was exactly as promised. I would give them more stars if that was an option.

Numon was excellent in every way for remodeling four bathrooms in our home. They helped us with the design, conducted all work on time with professionalism, and everyone is very nice! We continue to choose them for other remodeling and refer Numon to friends.

The owners of Numon Design Build, Zula and George, were a delight to work with! We had 80 sq ft of granite countertops installed in three rooms on the main floor and the job went very well. Zula is a consummate professional, knowledgeable about her product and very kind. George and his two assistants were in our house and ready to work at the precise appointment time, completing the entire project in a matter of a few hours, then cleaned up thoroughly, leaving absolutely no damage to our walls or cabinets. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and I enthusiastically recommend this company!

I highly recommend Numon Design and Build for any home renovation project. This was my first major home renovation, and I was very anxious about selecting the right contractor. I met with a few contractors and decided to go with Numon Design and Build for a few reasons – (1) their total quote was one of the highest, but it was the most comprehensive (2) they were highly recommended by a few neighbors in the Windgate condo community and had completed work in condos with a similar layout. They handled the approvals with the condo association and all the permits needed for Arlington County, and (3) they were able to start work almost immediately and worked around my schedule. Price (9.5/10) – Their quote wasn’t the lowest, but there were no surprises during the project, and they stayed within budget. Overall, I felt like I received great value for the service provided. During the first few meetings with Zula, the interior designer, she worked with me to reduce costs so I could stay within my budget. Experience and Reputation (10/10) – Numon Design and Build came highly recommended by a few neighbors in my condo community and they have excellent ratings online. Flexibility (10/10) – George, the project manager, is AMAZING. There was a leak in my ceiling caused by a plumbing issue unrelated to the renovation, and he showed up at my place at 7 PM on a Friday night, assessed the problem, provided a temporary fix, and repaired the issue the following week for a very reasonable price. He worked around my schedule and was able to complete add-ons I requested at the last minute. Integrity and Honesty (10/10) – Zula, George, and their team were very transparent from the very beginning. I was so nervous about getting a dishonest contractor, given all the horror stories I’ve heard anecdotally, and I feel like I lucked out with Numon. If I asked them their opinion, I received a straightforward, thoughtful, and honest response, even if it was not in their financial best interest. Workmanship and Quality (9.5/10) – I am so happy with the quality of the work that was done. Throughout the project George and Zula checked in to ensure I was satisfied with the quality of the work. There were only a couple of minor things that needed to be redone, which they rectified without any pushback. Communication, Customer Service, and Professionalism (10/10) – Zula and George are both extremely responsive. I was always able to get a response to any question or request I had via email, text, or phone call within 24 hours. They are very reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with.

The staff at Numon Design Build were very knowledgeable and professional throughout my kitchen design process. Zula led us through the design, selection of all kitchen components, and kept me informed on start dates, finish dates, and costs. She helped us make some excellent decisions on tile flooring, cabinets, granite counters, and lighting considerations. George led the construction. He always showed up when he said he would, his team was respectful, they expertly, virtually flawlessly, installed all components, and left a clean work space every day. I worked with Numon for a remodel of my new townhouse's kitchen and painting a few rooms of my home . Beautiful renovations! We hired Numon last year to renovate our two full upstairs bathrooms. From the design ideas to final completion the work and professionalism was top notch. We hired them again this year to renovate our basement and add an egress window. Again, very professional and reliable and more beautiful work. Numon Design did a Great Job at our home - they replaced a bathroom (to the studs) and also did a number of repairs in our home to include updating several counter tops with granite. George and Zula were/are Super professional and responsible, and the resulting work is beautiful!

Numon Design Build just finished a complete kitchen remodel of a condo we rent out. They were exceptionally helpful and responsive. They provided outstanding design suggestions, and the install turned out beautifully. Plus, we were in a hurry to get the unit on the rental market, and they expedited to meet our schedule. We've gotten exceptionally positive feedback on the kitchen from multiple prospective tenants, and fully intend to use them again for our next residential or rental project!

We recently had an outstanding major renovation done to our home by George and Zula – beautiful new kitchen, eye catching hardwood flooring throughout LR/DR/Kitchen/Entry, 2 fully renovated baths and a ½ bath. They were both very helpful with the design process up front and in helping us manage costs. George completed the work on time, on schedule, and on price. We can’t say enough good things about how this project went. We were kept informed of where they were, what was coming next, what decisions we needed to make. The team was on time each day and took great care in not only the quality of the work they performed but also in keeping the work area neat and clean at the end of the day. The couple of things I wanted touched up at the end were handled expeditiously including a couple of change orders I asked for to do some additional work. The work was done right the first time and we can’t be happier.

George and his crew were highly reliable, always on time, and displayed very professional behavior - they were always polite and respectful and paid attention to little details for a nice outcome.

George and his team took my remodel down to the studs. The project grew as electrical and plumbing problems revealed themselves behind 70 year old walls. I have a completely new home that is so well done, I am very pleased. Little extras- George put cork in as the subfloor and my knees appreciate the cushion. Important extras- George never took on side projects leaving me hanging. He gave me a quote and a timeline and did his absolute best to stick with it. A family business that is approachable, reach-able with high standards.

Great work. Very professional and suggested good ideas/alternatives. We followed a friend's referral after they did significant home improvement/bedroom/bathroom/stairs. We have also referred two others friends to this contractor,. They started work at one of the friends home. They did great work on our apartment in DC...completely redo floor, kitchen countertops, bathroom, laundry room and other small projects.

Simply the best contractor I have ever used (and I have used many contractors over the years). George and his team are consummate professionals. They worked closely and tirelessly with us to develop a design for our master bath transforming it into a stunning masterpiece. The team was timely, responsive, competent, courteous, flexible, and very considerate in the execution of the construction. They were also very clean and efficient, finishing ahead of schedule. His bid was very competitive and the contract was very clear and straight forward. He knew of code and other restrictions that other contractors tried to hide or leave out of their bids.
