The home staging business was originally created to fill a need for homeowners selling their home trying to get the edge on their competition, however, over the past few years home staging has expanded. Homes are now being staged that are vacant, occupied, flipped, business offices. In addition, homes in all price ranges are being staged. Why is that? After 25 years it was time to sell and downsize to a condo. We had a solid, good bones colonial, but the decor was stuck in the 80’s. Rather than spending a lot of money buying updates that we may not need for our new place, WhyteHouse Staging & Re-Design came to the rescue. The owners, Nancy and Jim Whyte were able to stage our home into an HGTV showplace! Buyers comments were always very positive about the decor because Nancy & Jim know what sells a house! We are so grateful to them for their knowledge and professionalism that definitely expedited a “SOLD” sign!

I am a Realtor who had difficulty getting a home sold. It was on the market for 6 months with no offers. Nancy staged the house and it went into multiple offers in days and sold over asking price. This was a vacant lake house with a quirky layout. Because of the way Nancy furnished the home, buyers were able to visualize the space and understand how they'd use it. This had been a struggle when it showed vacant. She also consulted on great paint colors, fixtures changes etc. that had a huge impact.

This is our first job with Nancy and Jim @ WhyteHouse Staging. I must say it was the easiest process out of the entire building project. Nancy has an eye to make up an area that is up to date, appealing and flows well thru the entire house. We listed on a Saturday at 10:00am - first offer was at 12:00 Noon and 4 more offers on Sunday. Nancy did a walk-thru at a Broker Open and gave many ideas that would freshen up the home, along with moving existing furniture around, bringing in some staging items and renting furniture. We hired Nancy (and Jim) in the Fall of 2015 to assist with redesigning the majority of our house. My vision was to use most of our existing furniture and accent pieces and make strategic changes to make a big impact. Nancy did exactly that and more and I couldn't be happier with the results! Nancy has a keen eye for proper placement of furniture and accent pieces. She quickly understood my style and always kept my vision as her vision. We were able to update and redesign four bedrooms, the master bath, foyer, great room, kitchen and playroom. All within a very reasonable budget! The updates from before and after are absolutely amazing! During our house redesign we also decided to update the windows, carpet, and many paint colors. Nancy assisted me with every step in the process of this redesign. I felt she was there for me whenever I need her opinion or advice. I would highly recommend Nancy for any redesigns, updates or staging to your home. She is very good at what she does and is very affordable. I feel very fortunate to have found her (and Jim) and will continue to use her services for all my future house updates!

I had the pleasure of working with Nancy and Jim on the staging of our house in Hamburg Township. Nancy had a very clear vision of how to stage the house and what changes to make to really bring out the best of our somewhat challenging old home (build in 1870s but added onto in 2000). Most importantly, she took care of all the details and by the time she was done, the house looked better than it had ever looked. Her advice on wall color, selection of furniture and her suggestion to do a simple refresh of the kitchen were instrumental in having our house sell just a few short days after it listed, for more money than we originally expected.
