Paul Haigh - Neil Kelly Company

We contacted Neil Kelly (Paul Haigh) to convert out great home into our dream home. We had some general ideas of what we wanted, but Paul and his team made sure we were building something functional as well as highly aesthetic. His suggestions on flow, house appearance, and small details in the construction that worked with the existing home helped to make the final product that much better. The sub contractors were held to a very high quality standard and were highly qualified and respectful. When issues arose, Paul was always helpful in finding solutions quickly. I'd recommend Paul and Neil Kelly. With the project occurring during a busy building time, it was critical to have Neil Kelly taking the lead!

In early 2017, we interviewed three whole-house remodeling firms that were recommended to us by Central Oregon Builders Association. Neil Kelly Co. was not the least expensive option; however, it became apparent in the interview process that the expertise and experience of this company would give us the best final project. We can’t say it was stress-free or without a couple of glitches. We can say that the Neil Kelly Co people (designer team, project management team and contractors/subcontractors) made the bumps in the process manageable and created a final home that stands out as “like it was always meant to be this way”. Paul Haigh, designer, was our initial contact person for Neil Kelly Co. From the first visit we were impressed with Paul’s personable approach, skill in listening and discerning our needs and desires. We essentially had nearly the entire house touched in the remodel that included adding space to both ends of the house; remodeling the kitchen & dining room, reconfiguring two bathrooms and two bedrooms while adding an 1100 square foot addition that included sitting room, media/office, bedroom, bathroom as well as utility room. The design process was collaborative; as we indicated at the outset was our desire. Paul and his design assistant were attentive to every detail, taking our early drawings and turning them into a masterpiece of form, function and esthetic beauty. A number of people went “above and beyond” in getting our project from design to completion, including Chuck, Paul and Ray. All were sensitive to our budget, our cash flow, our design input while being consummate professionals with each step from design and drafting plans to permitting to every facet of building to finally having the finished inspection and sign-off. Paul was approachable and always responsive. We found the entire Neil Kelly team and their workers to be excellent craftsmen in each of their respective roles, providing us with a unique and beautiful home for us to “age in place” with timeless beauty and comfort. We highly recommend Paul Haigh and Neil Kelly Co for any design-to-completion project. Paul is a skilled listener, a top-flight creative designer and all-around cool guy who makes challenging work go smoothly. Right behind him is a shop with a caring leader (Chuck) and a loveable bull-dog manager who gets the job done (Ray). I found Paul through Houzz.com and decided to give him a call because of his great reviews. He helped us design the "Fun and Fabulous Kitchen" in Bend. He lived up to every nice thing said about him. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and always very responsive. We felt very comfortable contacting him about all of our questions or concerns throughout the entire process. We had a fairly good idea of how we wanted to design our kitchen, but Paul really helped guide us to achieve a result that was above and beyond our expectations. Paul kept the design process moving along, but at the same time, we never felt rushed to make a decision. We finalized a budget prior to commencing work and never had to worry about exceeding that budget given Neil Kelly's cost guarantee. The project ended on budget and on schedule. He and his design assistant provided scaled drawings throughout the process so we could see our kitchen taking shape and make changes as needed. He really listened to our goals and provided finish options to fit within those goals. The entire Neil Kelly team and their subcontractors were fantastic to work with from the design phase through construction. The carpenters that came to our house daily were very polite, respectful, and truly quality people. They were also very detail oriented and made sure everything was getting done right. Shortly after entering escrow on a house, I hired Paul (and Neil Kelly) after one meeting - I knew he was the right partner. The project was a major master suite remodel along with significant sprucing up of the guest bath and two bedrooms. The design work started while I was still living in a different state with bi-weekly phone/computer meetings. Paul understood what I liked and gave me great choices - substantially everything from stone to fixtures to paint color was selected prior to construction. The work started on time and was completed 2 1/2 months later - on schedule. It was a great experience and I wouldn't consider working with anyone else.

To whom it may concern: My wife and I had the good fortune to find the Neil Kelly Company on the Internet. We also had the extreme good fortune to have Paul Haigh as our design consultant. Originally we were going to have relatively small updates done to our kitchen and master bath. Once the project got underway we decided to expand our original plans and add more improvements to more rooms. When everything was said and done, our little remodel project turned into a "total home remodel." Believe me, I would not have given this much responsibility to any other company other than Paul Haigh and Neil Kelly. After a few weeks of closely watching their employees on the job I knew that I had hired the right company for the job. I can be kind of fussy about the way things get done, but I never spent even five seconds worrying about how Paul and his crew tackled even the most difficult parts of our project. I highly recommend Paul. He has great ideas and helped me configure our new kitchen. I didn't think I had room for an island but Neil showed me it could be done with plenty of room and I love it. This is the second time I have worked with Paul Haigh on a bathroom remodel project. I was so happy with the first remodel job that I came back to Neil Kelly and Paul Haigh for my second bathroom. He is a good communicator. If I had a question or concern during the project he was easy to reach and all matters were addressed in a timely way.
