Shari Mullins designed and completed a project to convert a garage, building a barn to replace the garage space, and creating a one bedroom apartment in it's place. She listened carefully to our dreams and drew up plans. These proved to be exactly what we wanted! The process was not speedy. We discovered the septic system needed to be replaced and the plumbing system was dissolving. We decided to add a bathroom and a closet to the room above the garage. Shari worked with determination and professionalism, finding the right specialists and contractors, keeping the permits on schedule and the work moving forward. She always responded quickly to calls, texts and emails. She were always here when they said she would be here. She listened to concerns and addressed them immediately, willing to make adjustments and improvements as needed. She put an effort into finding the best quality materials we could afford. She kept the contractors on schedule and handled any disputes. We didn't have to worry about anything. It took about a year, but we love the results and have no regrets! It does not look anything like a 'converted garage'. It did cost more than expected due to pre-existing conditions and upgrade decisions. Shari takes great pride in their work and I would recommend her for any project, both personal and commercial. It was a joy to work with her!

We hired Shari Mullen to spearhead a top to bottom remodel and refresh of our 15 year old contemporary home. This involved a gut renovation of our master bath, pantry, and powder room and significant upgrades to the kitchen, exterior, study, and main living space. Shari had the vision to maximize the virtues of the space, and the tenacity to get the 18 month project completed.

I collaborated with Sheri and her team on the design on a house on a tight corner site in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington, Kentucky during the winter of 2014-2015. I observed the personal attention Shari provided to our client and the patience she exhibited through the entire design process. She is familiar with city planning and zoning regulations which is a must in the residential and light commercial design world.

After buying a completely outdated, one bathroom home in Lexington, I hired Pillar3 to help us get the house up to date and to put in a second bathroom. I could not be more happy with the results. Shari, the owner, managed every aspect of our project, which ended up being sizable. She sourced beautiful materials, created an incredible second bathroom (upstairs in a cape cod... no easy task) and really transformed our home. It was a also a great investment; Pillar3 worked with our budget, and now our house is worth substantially more than what we spent on it.

We wanted a major bathroom remodel but were not quite sure how to proceed. Pillar 3 met with me multiple times to get a feel for what we needed, what we wanted, and what we liked. Shari gave us several excellent options, all within our price range, and then brought in everyone necessary to do the job. All the contractors provided excellent workmanship within a reasonable time frame and cost. Shari was here often, checking that things were going smoothly and we were happy with the progress. She had to do some extra to find the counter we wanted, but she made the impossible possible and it's perfect. She talked me into some design features that I probably wouldn't have chosen on my own, and I'm so glad she did (my glass tile is awesome!). The result is a beautiful, functional, personal room that we love! We highly recommend Pillar 3 and will use them again.
