Pravada Floors

They are a horrible company that does not stand behind there product. They try there very hardest to place blame on the customer and take no responsibility for there product. Do not buy this product ever. We had it installed professionally by a reputable company that did an outstanding job. We did approx 2000 square feet. The flooring looked amazing for about 3 weeks but shortly after began to splinter. We had 3 inspections done, 2 of which were obviously in our favor and the 2nd inspection was paid for by Pravada and was a joke stating false facts. They of course went with there paid "non bias" inspector who insulted us and was completely rude. The company is a joke and does not care about people. Stay away.

We purchased the Prava Artistique Collection - Lemaire for our main living area. Not long after, my wife noticed discoloration, darkening, blotching of the flooring in front of the sink and island area. She followed all "cleaning" instructions and purchased the correct cleaning materials. We had conversations with End of The Roll (where we purchased the flooring). We went back and forth with End of the Roll, as well as the Pravada dealer in Richmond, BC. After multiple emails and conversations, the Pravada dealer just washed his hands of the whole affair, saying it wasn't his issue. The owner of End of the Roll was going through the same issues with his floor (same product) and he got the same reply from Pravada in Richmond. This has been going on for months now. The latest "option" is now to have a floor refinisher come and see if they can sand and refinish the floor. We have been waiting for over 2 months now to have that done. Reading between the lines, it seems that Pravada had changed the type of finish, or the manner in which the finish was applied and according to End of the Roll, we are not the only one who have been experiencing this issue.

Don’t ever get these floors. We spent a fortune on Pravada canvas palette floor and we need a replacement in less than 2 years. Completely discolored and black.

Absolutely horrible customer service! Put Canvas collection in one of our show homes and when we put down painters tape for protection during the finishing of the fireplace the tape tore off the coating of the flooring in multiple areas. The manufacturer Manuel clearly says painters tape can be used but doesn’t recommend letting it sit on for more than 24 hours. We had someone come from Pravda to look at the floors and they have done. Any little drop of water turns the flooring dark and is just completely absorbed into the wood. Even if wiped up immediately. They took a piece of flooring in and did their own “tests” and said there is no issue. We did the same “tests” and clearly there are issues. We told them we’d like a 3rd party to do the tests and they flat out refused. Not the type of integrity we believe in and will never use this manufacture again. It will cost nearly $20,000 from our pocket to replace.

terrible flooring from pravada. we ordered and installed 1100sf pure touch- iced mink and had nothing but problems. there was a weird buildup on the floor in streaks as you can see in the picture. the sales rep was so hard to get a hold of and had no real solutions. I finally got the manager on the phone after weeks of trying. The streaks ended up being paraffin wax used in the manufacturing process. the manager told me they would not help with cleaning this off or any solutions. we cant remove it and it looks terrible. All over the house. Be warned. We have been in business for 65 years and will not deal with pravada anymore. We have tossed their samples and will sell better quality with less imperfections.

We used Pravada Nude Roche engineered hardwood in a recent project and are extremely pleased. The wire brushing gives the floor a softness without looking overly rustic, and the finish is durable and forgiving. The flooring was installed directly onto unheated concrete, and it transformed the space from cold and nasty to warm and comfortable.

So very disappointed. First and foremost, be forewarned that the thickness of the top layer of wood in their engineered product may not be what you think. We were told 3mm by a local dealer (which can be refinished). But after the flooring arrived, the boxes indicated 2mm (which CANNOT be refinished). 3mm was the minimum thickness flooring we were going for because we wanted the option to refinish down the line. Supposedly about a year ago, their changed the line from 3mm to 2mm to stay price competitive. That's fine, but how Pravada handled the change ends up biting the consumer. The sample board at the local store we looked at was still 3mm, and Pravada's website does NOT list the thickness of the top layer of wood. The website (as of Sept 2017) lists all the other specs, but conveniently leaves out one of the most important specs - top layer thickness. Is Pravada trying to hide the fact that the engineered flooring is very thin? After numerous attempts, both by email and phone, I was told Pravada would not do anything for us. I wasn't even asking for thousands of dollars of compensation. All I was asking for was to be compensated with 20 feet of matching trim. Seems that once Pravada has earned your money, they could care less about customer service or that a customer was inadvertently or purposely duped. For the customer service I would give the review no stars. I only bumped it up to one star because we like the coloring and finish. But most times that I look at my floors, the thought that comes to mind, with a big sigh is, "It's only 2mm."

We are a design-build firm and we love specifying Pravada flooring on our projects. Pravada flooring is so beautiful and the finishes are perfect for Bay Area homes, especially the Artistique and Haute Couleur collections. We recently installed Artistique Duval in a whole-house remodel and this floor was one of the biggest wow factors in the home! We love it so much that we are installing it on our showroom floor.

As an interior designer, timeless elegance is important to me but equally important is high quality and excellent customer service. I am a huge fan of Pravada's product, I have used them in a large variety of projects over the years and have always had really happy clients. My favourite collection is their Haute Couleur french oak with the wire brushed finish as it's truly a stunning and durable floor and a definite design staple for us.
