WARNING: Proyecto is great at sales. Not so great at construction or telling the truth. Do yourself a favor and hire another company. If you hire Proyecto, you're eventually going to have to hire someone else anyway to fix their work. Just a small sample of why: It took far longer than they said it would. And the work was shoddy. They didn't do work they contracted to do. There were obvious defects in the work that they did do, which they repeatedly promised to fix but never did. And over time, more fundamental defects keep appearing. Plus, they egregiously overcharged. One of their project managers told us we were not the only ones this happened to.

Proyecto abandoned our project and many others in April/May of 2025. Manuel, Abe, Becky, etc. are no longer with the company. While Caitlin has told both clients and subs that the company is bankrupt (and cannot finish jobs and/or pay the subs), she continues to tell callers that they are ready to take on new work even though they no longer have a valid contractors license! (That's her personal cell phone on the web site now). They bounced checks to multiple subcontractors who I have been in direct contact with.. The work they did complete for us was absolutely sub-par. I don't know what to say except stay away!.

We used Proyecto for a complete renovation of our primary bathroom in our 1920s Spanish Mediterranean house in Berkeley. This was a down-to-the-studs remodel, and we ended up with a gorgeous and much more functional bathroom that is somehow modern, timeless, elegant, and fits in with the rest of the house, all at once. We brought our own designer (Amber Evans of Evans Design Studio). We were delighted with Proyecto's work, both in terms of quality / fit-and-finish and execution. Despite the project having some complications (e.g. having to relocate some walls and doorways, realizing the need for a new structural supporting roof beam, etc.) they did an excellent job keeping everything on track and maintaining open lines of communication throughout the process. Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering higher-end remodeling or new construction work.

Proyecto just finished a complete down to the studs remodel of our Berkeley Hills home. All of the work is top notch and the house turned out beautiful with true quality and craftsmanship. Completing the remodel during the pandemic definitely brought its challenges, but Abe and his team were able to ensure that our project was prioritized and supply chain was never really an issue. I want to specially call out Joe on his team that went above and beyond in coordinating the contractors on site and ensuring all of our questions and concerns were addressed. With Proyecto I always felt well represented and involved with the remodel process. This was our first remodel so we definitely had a lot of questions, but Proyecto was always there to answer them and guide us in the right direction. I would highly recommend Proyecto in the future to anyone looking for a high level of quality and professionalism in their future home renovation.

Nystrom Design is a local interior design firm, and we just completed a full-house remodel project with Proyecto. They were involved in the early planning stages with cost estimating and scheduling to ensure that the project would meet the homeowner's budget expectations and timeframe. The project was completed quickly and skillfully. We had a very complicated custom tile pattern in the master bathroom, and their tilers did a beautiful and meticulous job executing the installation. Proyecto was willing to work with us on custom details, and helped us resolve a few unexpected conditions that arose during the process. They showed up for work on time each and every day for months (it was a sizeable job), and were always friendly and professional, and cleaned up each day.
