J.A. Long is our 4th home builder we have used and would like to say we are extremely happy with our new home. After Irma planted a tree in our home last year we decided we wanted a modest custom built home. Randy, John, Linda and the J.A. Long team team presented us with the plans that we could afford and work with, to get what we wanted. Our Site Manager Jimmy is just as detail oriented as my wife and together they did a great job. Maggie and Brenda made sure we stayed on task an kept the orders and work efforts on time. We enjoyed the experience and glad to be moved in before Christmas.

Long team skillfully guided the project to successful completion. We thoroughly enjoyed the design and selection process. Everyone we worked with at J.A. Long had a very high level of professionalism. Each member of the J.A. Long team that we worked with ensured that we were prepared for each step of the project. Our project manager, Jimmie, ensured that our plans were executed properly and responded to all of our feedback during construction. If you are designing a custom home, you need a home builder that you feel comfortable working with; for us, J.A. Long was that home builder.

We hired JA Long to design and build our riverfront home in Ortega in Jacksonville, FL. Our experience with this long standing family run design / build contractor was great. We hope to never build a house again, but if we do we would definitely use them again.

Over the past 9 years, J. A. Long Inc. has built an addition on to my house and updated my kitchen and both bathrooms. They listened to my ideas as to what I wanted and then came up with a plan that was both beautiful and also fit my budget. JALong built my dream home on my own riverfront property which many builders would not do. The Long family and employees deligently worked with my vision of a finished project with the limited finances available. My friends are blown away by the transformation. To quote a common reaction, "it's like a private resort." A house build is an incredibly stressful endeavor. The most amazing part is the Longs and team become family to you. Randy is epitome of patience and Derrick , my project manager, deserves a medal for handling my perfectionist expectations. If I had to do this again, I want the JALong team. Among the community, their homes are considered the best. They live up to that reputation.

Commented: Beautiful exterior colorsSure. Exterior stucco was matched to SW 7757 High Reflective White. Shutters & garage doors - SW 6506 Vast Sky. But the front door was a custom stain from the door company. Hope this helps.
