Refined Renovations & Refined Home

We used Refined Renovations for a major home project to gut and expand our kitchen, dining room and mudroom. Jim and our designer Ashley really listened from the get go and came up with a couple design concepts that were stunning and really hit on what we were looking for. Having Ashley as our main point of contact throughout the project saved us so much time and made the process seamless. For the execution Tim, Leo and their teams were very professional throughout and do amazing work. We are so happy with the final outcome and would certainly recommend using Refined!

The Refined Renovation team is A+ across the board. Not only do they deliver high-quality design and results, but they are wonderful humans to work with. We renovated the entire interior of our home, which is a pretty stressful endeavor, and not only do we LOVE every space in our home, but we still love them! I've worked with A LOT of contractors, and to be able to say that is extremely rare. From design to build team, and everything in between, we could not have been in better hands than we were with Jim, Ashley, Austin and the rest of the Refined team. I HIGHLY recommend them!

We selected Refined Renovations for our home reno based on reviews of local neighbors and friends. We wanted a company that did it all ~ from design to build and the interiors...and boy did we get that! We gutted the house with exception of bedrooms and full baths, re-worked the space we had on the entire first floor (kitchen, dining, half bath and laundry, entry way, family room, staircase, built a pantry and added a mudroom) and built a bonus room upstairs. The vision was completely driven by the Refined team. Right from the get-go we could tell they had great ideas for what our house could be. Nothing we could have imagined ourselves! We moved out of our house for 6 months, but were generally local and able to stop by often. The contractors (Patrick, Julio and team) were reliable, respectful and dedicated to the project the entire time, often even working on the weekend! They kept things tidy under the circumstances and I am so very appreciative of that! We trusted them 100% in the house and could tell they are true professionals. Our designer and project manager Ashley took time to not only "see" our house, but also hear what was important to us. She did an incredible job along the way to honor the contemporary/modern style of our home, but also incorporate aspects that met our family needs and style as well. We really let Ashley come up with the design ideas she had in mind and went with them, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. She pushed us out of our comfort zone and showed us some more modern ideas that we would not typically select ourselves, but it all makes so much sense! I truly can't believe this is my house. The transformation is unbelievable. Ashley is simply the best! As the project nears completion, I'm filled with gratitude for the entire team - Jim, Ashley, Tim, Patrick, Julio, Ethan, Connor....there were so many people who helped! THANK YOU ALL!

Refined Renovations recently completed a large renovation project at our house in Andover and we could not be any happier with the final result. Our house is over 100 years old and, although well-preserved, had not undergone any extensive updates until now. The kitchen was outdated and cramped in a small corner of the house, which was not conducive to cooking large meals and entertaining guests. Refined did an amazing job designing a new layout that gave us the large kitchen with modern amenities that we desired. This included moving the basement stairs and the first floor bathroom to new locations, and installing a large beam to open up the previous area to fit a large kitchen island, state-of-the-art appliances, and beautifully constructed cabinets. Refined also completely rebuilt our second floor bathroom and added a beautiful built-in bar in our dining area adjacent to the new kitchen. Their attention to detail and ability to blend the old with the new is unmatched. They were able to maintain our house’s charm and historic character seamlessly. Jim’s vision and ability to design the space really was top notch, and the entire Refined team executed the job perfectly. Everyone was very professional, punctual, and attentive throughout the entire process. We would also like to especially thank Ashley, Austin, and Tim for all of their hard work. Jim and the entire Refined team were fantastic. Jim saw potential in our house we didn't know was possible.
