Ross G. Anderson - Architect

Ross Anderson designed a beautiful, functional home for our family. From our first meeting and initial design to the completed home, Ross listened to our ideas and needs and translated them into reality. He was involved throughout the building process and made sure that the design went from paper to real life seamlessly. Ross has a knack for creating spaces that reflect and enhance a home’s natural setting while also being inviting and cozy spaces for everyday life. We are so happy with the final result and would recommend Ross as an architect without reservation.

My wife Dru and i had an amazing experience working with Ross. He took our original overall ideas and vision and not only did he capture what we were trying to achieve but knocked it up several notches with his additions and input. It is really nice working with someone who gets it without having to go round and around several times. Ross also took the time to visit the jobsite and make sure it was progressing as he felt it should when it came to how things should look. We get compliments all the time. Anytime we see a house that has been drawn by Ross Anderson we get excited. Ross has a great vision about a project and how everything fits together. His designs are thought provoking and creative and he always has the owners best interests in mind. Ross Anderson was such a pleasure to work with, designed the most beautiful house for my family and I. It fit perfectly into our little forest property and created some beautiful outdoor spaces. He didn't just create a new home for us, he created a true work of art.

We met Ross to discuss what we wanted in our "empty nest" and then he toured the site. From those two encounters he put his skills to work and in pretty short order presented us with some sketches for review. We spent a solid week looking things over with a critical eye and found that his design was spot on. When construction of our place is finished, we will be the envy of the block. As it is, a few of our neighbors-to-be have stopped by to compliment the design. Quite a few have voiced the sentiment, "I wish we would have done that on our house."

Ross designed a major structural remodel on one house for me, and then designed and followed up on the construction of a stone tower and related revisions to my own house. He was excellently creative, practical and easy to work with. I have hired a number of architects in this area over the years. He is easily the best.

Ross beautifully operationalized my ideas and worked hard to help me visualize his ideas. Working closely together, he made my vision into reality combining function and form into a house I love.

Hiring Ross Anderson for my 4th building adventure was one of my best decisions and I would work with him again in a heartbeat! I did not live in the area at the time so had to rely on Ross for progress reports between visits. I sat down with Ross and discussed my thoughts, desires, ideas and vision. After clarifying a few things, he designed the home I was dreaming about, not what he thought I should want. I felt like this was a collaborative effort, not a dictatorship. His knowledge of design helped lead us to the style best suited to incorporate the building materials and feeling I was interested in. I was very curious about Everlog concrete log products and poplar birch bark shingles for a fairly maintenance free home. He brought both the log siding and the board and batten concrete to the design. His color suggestions for the exterior trim were wonderful. Ross worked with a landscape architect to determine the best site for maximum views and water mitigation. He worked seamlessly with the builder to provide the home we wanted and was ever mindful of the budget. There were no questions left unanswered and no surprises upon completion. Ross designed a home that fits our family like a hug. It is warm and inviting inside and out. We ended up with a practical, livable home that is the fulfillment of my dreams.

My husband and I have been working with Ross for many years. He designed our cabin which was featured in a national magazine and we just completed our new house which he helped us design. He is very creative and great to work with! We would highly recommend him!
