Ma’am, our contract was not with you, but with your fiancé. We never one time spoke with you, you were never in our showroom, never involved in any conversations with us about the job, and never involved with us in any way. After your extremely rude phone call this past Tuesday, YOU were going to have your fiancé contact US (which he has not). We will be happy to speak about this matter further to the person in the contract, which in this case is your fiancé, as he has been the only one participating with us while this job was in progress. We have broken no contracts, and we always stand behind any work we do. There seems to be a communication issue between you and your fiancé, because clearly you do not have all of the facts. When you contracted with our company for your kitchen countertops you stated that this was your first time working with granite. If you are in the construction field as you say, then you know you should have drawn out a plan of your kitchen job and taken it to the 12 different granite companies you stated you visited and discussed your specific requirements before awarding any company the job. However, that is not what you did.

As I explained to you on the phone and in person yesterday, if you would have mentioned that you had such specific requirements for your job we would have refused to accept your job from the beginning. We would have been able to see that the job could not be done without seams. When we get specific requirements from customers, we honor those requirements and let the customer know if there is an issue.

For your job, we did everything acceptable in the stone fabrication industry, and the quality of the seams are very good. We NEVER have complaints on the seams we have to do. Our installers/fabricators are very experienced and take great pride in their workmanship.

It is untrue that you mentioned to the fabricator where you would like the seam to be located. You NEVER mentioned the seam even one time…not to me or to the fabricator. In fact, you told me yesterday that you didn’t mention it, and that we “should have just known” what you wanted. As for the dull blade comment…that is ridiculous.
When you spoke with me on the phone yesterday during the installation, you demanded that we “rip out the entire job and throw it in the dumpster”. If we did not do that you told me that you would blast social media with bad reviews. Then you demanded a discount, and if we didn’t give you a discount you would blast social media with bad reviews. You were very unreasonable and refused to listen to what I was telling you.

As far as your comment that we “stick you with the product” is untrue. We stand behind our products and we go above and beyond for our customers to make sure they are happy with the finished product. You also said we don’t give a refund. In fact, you forgot to mention that we did give you money off of what was owed on your job as a courtesy. In fact, I personally told you to take whatever you wanted to take off of the total due because I could see that you were unreasonable and would never be happy. Your job looks great and was done appropriately, there is no reason for any refund or recut. When I went to the job site yesterday, I explained to you in person you why we had to put the seams where they were. It is our hope that we don’t ever have to do any seams, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. We have taken out countertops and recut them before for a customer if the job was not right. In your case, this was an unreasonable request.

As far as you saying there is no phone communication, I spoke with you several times yesterday. In the beginning you called my office and you were very rude to the designer. You wanted to see the slabs we were going to use and you had been waiting “for two days”. You stated to her that if you were not able to see your slabs THAT day, you were going to come get your money back because you were leaving town the following day. Then the following day, you came by to see the slabs. I mentioned this to you and offered you your money back. You didn’t want your money back and laughed it off.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the quality or installation done. The bottom line is we did not misrepresent ourselves, and we completed the job well within industry standards as contracted. I have been in this business a long time, and one thing I have learned is that unfortunately not everybody will be happy no matter what you do. It is my hope every customer is happy and I go to great lengths to make that happen. However, I will not succumb to blackmail, in the form of threats to write bad reviews to correct a non-issue.

Thanks Kelly for your review. We are totally shocked and surprised that you feel you were not treated like a valued customer. When you initially came to our store we gave you an estimate based on your measurements of 33sqft needed. Raj advised you that upon template, we would not charge you additionally if the measurements did not go beyond 35sqft. In actuality, the amount needed was 38sqft based on our template. You were immediately advised that the measurements exceeded 35sqft and there would be an additional charge. You told Raj that you really wanted the tops, but you had reached your max budget. After much consideration, we agreed not to charge you for the additional square feet. Also, when you removed the old countertops you dislodged the cabinets already in place in your kitchen. Not only did our crew have to reposition the cabinets in your kitchen, they had to frame supports for the granite with 2x4's. This is something we were not contracted to do, however, we also did not charge you for this. Your job was also completed within your specified time frame, and we were in contact with you throughout the entire process. After your job was completed, Raj spoke with your husband and he advised that you "loved" the tops and that you were "very happy". There was never mention that you felt you were not treated well.

I have attempted to contact you via phone and email to discuss your concerns, however, you have not yet responded. In order to better our business, we would like to understand where you feel we may have gone wrong.
