Sam's Wood Furniture

Took our money for 4 pieces of furniture 21 weeks ago, we still have not seen any furniture. Refused to answer our calls or emails.

We love Sam's Wood Furniture!! I would furnish my entire house with their furniture. Their service is excellent. Their staff is so friendly and take so much time when they work with you. We love the furniture makers they work with and the quality of their furniture is superior. We have several pieces of their furniture from several different furniture makers and they really stand out in our home. We constantly get compliments from guests. As a wedding present from my aunt we wanted a sideboard or buffet for our dining room. We were very interested in purchasing a piece from an Amish furniture maker who uses barnwood as we loved that rustic look and the pieces were beautiful. Unfortunately the sideboard in their catalogue was not quite what we were imagining due to configuration and dimensions. The Sam's staff was so helpful and showed us many other great options from other companies but we kept coming back to the barnwood. I never thought we could create such a custom piece to fit our vision. But the staff at Sam's were so helpful and helped us design the exact piece that fit our needs using the barnwood piece we loved so much. They spent so much time with us! With that design they went straight to the furniture maker with our requests and it was not a problem at all. The furniture maker was more than willing to accommodate all our requests so we could get the piece we really wanted. Instead of drawers in the middle of the piece we had three doors put in to give us more space for serving trays. They altered the dimensions of the piece to make it a little bigger. And they put a shelf inside so we have more storage. And the piece is gorgeous! We couldn't have hoped for anything more perfect. And Sam's helped us figure out what it was we really wanted to fit our needs. It is definitely the centerpiece of our dining room, the barnwood is beautiful, and it's custom made just to our liking which makes it all the more special. It's definitely the most beautiful piece of furniture in our home! I can't say enough about the piece and our experience with the staff at Sam's helping us design exactly the piece we wanted and needed. They were amazing! You really feel like you are getting the most quality, custom, and beautiful furniture from a wonderful and knowledgeable staff with great customer service at Sam's Wood Furniture! We wouldn't go anywhere else!

What a wonderful business! They made a custom Buffett out of reclaimed barn wood and we couldn't be happier. We will buy all our furniture from Sam's! No need to go elsewhere....amazing quality and staff.

What a great experience I had recently at Sam’s Wood Furniture. My condo has just a small closet that I used as both a coat closet and a utility closet. As part of a redecorating project, I wanted to find a way to add storage space and separate these two uses. I’ve seen free-standing stashing stations that people use in entrance ways and mud rooms. I thought that would be great for my coats and hats and leave the closet free for cleaning items and supplies. The only problem was that I don’t have an entrance way or mud room! It would have to be located in the dining area next to the front door. I visited Sam’s and explained my problem to the new owner, Sarah. She told me that they could customize a stashing station or cupboard to suit my needs..Sarah spent a lot of time with me and helped me to design a 48 x 72 x 16 cupboard with shelves for hats and gloves and hooks for hanging coats and jackets. She drew up a design and worked with the manufacturer to build attractive doors for it so that it would look appropriate in the dining room. When she received the price from the manufacturer, she went over every detail with me again and upon my approval, placed the order. The next part of the process - the staining - was done by their in-house finishers. I wanted to make the cupboard a design element that would be bold yet work well with my overall style. We decided on a cranberry red stain for it. When it was finished, Sarah called to tell me how excited they were at the warehouse for me to see it. It was everything I had hoped for! Rich takes great pride in his work and he and Aaron delivered the piece with courtesy and care. I also purchased a dining room table with four upholstered chairs, a coffee table, end table, and sofa table. Again, Sarah offered her expertise and advice regarding my choices. She helped me to choose fabric, woods and stains that worked best with my other furniture. Now that it is all in place, I couldn’t be happier. You can shop around in many stores and hope to find what you want or you can go to Sam’s and have them custom build exactly what you want!

In the past year we purchased two sets of bookshelves for two rooms of our home. Sam’s Wood Furniture helped in the design of these custom pieces, they processed the order with their suppliers and they also performed a meticulous installation, all on time and within budget (that’s right, no hidden charges). The sales staff at Sam’s is very helpful, walks through the options and puts together priced estimates for the products requested, all with a smile. Once the order was placed with the supplier, a final estimate was provided. The installation team, headed up by a master in the art of carpentry, are personable, professional and thorough. I’d say Sam’s sets the standard by which furniture stores should be judged. Sarah and her team get a hearty “thumbs up” from this perfectionist.
