I actually have hired this company for THREE projects. The first was a complete renovation of a house in Tanoan. This included, new carpeting, new flooring, new appliances, new fixtures, miscellaneous repairs and upgrades. The second was installing flooring in the main area of our home. The 3rd was installing flooring in the bedrooms of our home. In EVERY situation, Alan (of Larranaga Construction) and Steve (of Sharp Industries) have delivered quality work at a fair price. Those of us who might find ourselves in need of a contractor must face the daunting task of finding one who is honest, hardworking, fair, personable and skilled. The odds are against any us finding a company that crosses off all of these boxes. In our experiences Alan and Steve have delivered quality workmanship, and didn't cut any corners even if we would not have realized it. In one situation, for example, my wife saw Steve notice a small imperfection in one panel of the flooring they were working on in one of our bedrooms. They were about 1/3 finished in that room. Steve told the crew to stop and remove all of the flooring and start over just to fix the one board. Steve was not aware that my wife was watching from a location outside of the room. This is just one example of their standards and attention to detail. Would I recommend them to a friend? Most definitely-already have. To a stranger? Absolutely. (I'm doing that right now). Will we use them again? Any and every time we need a contractor.

We contacted Sharp Industries, Steve & Lora Lee Ortiz, owners, in January 2017 after finding them listed as recommended on the Houzz website. They responded right away, and set up an appointment to come to our home to find out what we were looking for in a remodel/addition at our 35 year old home. They took our ideas, along with their recommendations back with them, and before long had several concrete designs that we could look at. It took several visits by them, which they gladly undertook, to come to a place where we found the idea and design that would work for us. Upon agreement as to what we would like to go forward with, they then had our choice of addition ideas submitted to a plan designer. We soon had some working drawings to go off of, and even then changes were encouraged, and implemented by Steve & Lora Lee along the way, which was very helpful. At that point plans were drawn up to submit for permits, and we were on our way! Construction began on June 4th 2017, and ultimately was complete the last week of September 2017. We had a few permit hiccups along the way, but Steve was always right there to make sure everything got taken care of and done right. He was the ultimate construction foreman and coordinator. Anytime there was a glitch, Steve was right there to meet with any of the subcontractors; Lora Lee was also always available to answer questions, show us samples of materials, or contact one of their suppliers if we had a question. Home remodeling or additions can be very frustrating, but Steve and Lora Lee were always right there to make the process as pain free as possible. They always responded to our emails and phone calls right away, even on weekends. One thing Sharp Industries allowed us to do, to save money along with helping us feel like the project was personal, was to allow us to complete any and all work we wanted to do ourselves. We were able to do that, with their blessing, and it saved us a considerable amount, with the addition of feeling more personal accomplishment. We also had to contact Sharp Industries to deal with some issues weeks after the job was complete, and they took care of the issues willingly and professionally. They also helped us with the energy rebates we were eligible for. We love the addition of a master bedroom / bath / closet to our home, and it has been just the home facelift that we felt we needed. Steve and Lora Lee Ortiz of Sharp Industries were just the type of professional, capable, honest, and hard-working contractors we hoped we would find. We would recommend them for their ideas and ability to implement those ideas in a professional way to anyone who would need a home addition or remodel.

Alan and Steve are the best!! Between the 2 of them the job gets done when they say and they have the experience and the know how to tackle anything. Lora lee Ortiz is a master when dealing with organization, permitting, ordering and all the other small details you never even think about when starting and finishing a project. Between the 3 of them and their crew your house will get done, it will be done well, on time, and it well be beautiful.

Steve and Alan completely remodeled a kitchen at one house and a bathroom and flooring at another house. They did a wonderful job. Lora Lee was fantastic with designs and helping me choose finishes. They were all amazing at helping me stay within my budget. I will absolutely hire them again for future projects. I highly recommend these professionals.

Sharp Industries did a marvelous job remodeling our garage. Their knowledge and professionalism are first rate. When we described what we wanted, they explained how the work would be done and provided a realistic timeline and reasonable budget. They adhered to both. The finished product was exceptional and I would recommend them without hesitation.

First, it needs to be known - I am a TOUGH client! Secondly, we can't wait to work with Sharp Industries again. They are professional, extremely knowledgeable, prompt, and considerate. What did we remodel? We gutted a house, new floors, new kitchen layout, paint, wall fixes, completely re-did bathrooms, new doors, fireplace facade - THE WORKS! Our home is used in their albums and worth a look! The attention to quality and ability to keep the project moving was above and beyond EXCELLENT - IF you are not sure what contractor to go with, STOP looking and call SHARP now!

Have used Sharp Industries on numerous projects including tile work, landscaping, window and door installation and plumbing repairs. Work is always excellent and priced fairly and projects are completed in a timely manner.

Timely, Cost Effective, Dependable, On Budget, Completed project in the worst winter weather and still on time. Great suggestions, easy to work with.

We chose Sharp Industries to be the contractors for our kitchen remodel. We highly recommend this wonderful group of people because of their professionalism, their talent, and excellent communication skills. The owners are the contractors and, they are the ones who do the majority of the work; they are very knowledgeable, and highly experienced in all aspects of building. If any work is contracted out, one of the Sharp Industries contractors is on site to make sure that the work is being done as planned. Best of all, they enjoy the work and the challenges associated with envisioning and building beautiful, efficient living space. Our kitchen was totally gutted and redesigned but before any physical work began, we spent lots of time on the planning. I never felt rushed. Sharp Industries has professional relationships with many suppliers, which extended the possibilities and choices that we found on our own. My husband and I participated in every decision. We were consulted continuously as the choices and small details of the design unfolded. All deadlines were met. The work area was kept tidy and all precautions were taken to keep our living space livable while the construction progressed in our home. We are very pleased with our new kitchen! Sharp Industries has done a lot of work at my house and my mother's house. They have done several small jobs and a big remodel that included removing several windows, replacing others, moving the tub, shower, and sinks in the master bath, re-tiling that bathroom, the master bedroom, and a half bath. They provide suggestions, but always listen to what I want. They are always on time, polite, and neat. Their work is high quality and I have recommended them to several neighbors and friends. We also hired them when we replaced the rest of the windows in the house and created a sunroom by enclosing the back porch. We've had them replace some of the plumbing in our house after a couple of water leaks. They fixed the problem areas quickly and neatly. They are our go-to contractors.

Steve and Alan took the master bathroom in our 1958 house from awful vintage to classy modern! They were always on time and worked fast and efficiently. The quality of the tile work is the best I have seen, and Steve was gracious as he recommended different finishing options, and suggested minor changes that truly enhanced the project. I have used Steve and Alan again for exterior fence work, and maintenance work like replacing water heater, swamp cooler, etc. They consistently perform well.
