I wish I could give 10 stars, Matt and Tonya were a pleasure to work with. Tonya was invaluable in helping me pick colors, fixtures, and furniture. She showed me things I wouldn’t have thought to look for myself and helped me think outside the box a little. Matt was transparent about cost and kept me informed of what work would be done each day, and accommodated how I wanted things to proceed. If there was a problem, he took care of it quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We knew we wanted to use the space in our home more efficiently and that we needed a little more space, but we weren't quite sure how to get there. Matt and Tonya walked with us from the very beginning to make our home more beautiful, more comfortable, and more efficient. They came up with several plans to expand our space and took us step by step to make design choices, adjust the plan to fit our budget, and make adjustments as the work went on. There were small bumps along the way, but overall the process was smooth and more importantly, it followed exactly what they told us to expect. All of the work was done timely and professionally. Matt's choices in subcontractors and tradesmen were impeccable. Tonya worked directly with me to make beautiful design choices within our budget. She was supportive and creative in her suggestions. We could not be more pleased and are happy to recommend them to anyone looking to renovate.

We found Sherman and Co Remodeling to be an excellent group to work with - husband and wife team (contractor and design). They worked with us on renovating a kitchen and den area in a 1960s house that had small dark rooms and a galley kitchen with wood paneling in the den. We opened up those rooms to a large space with a completely new kitchen (different foot print), large Island between kitchen and den, and an updated den. The time frame of approximately 3 months was close to the time scheduled. We were using our new kitchen for Thanksgiving dinner 2019, which was lovely.

I would definitely recommend Sherman & Co Remodeling for any upcoming renovations you may have. There are several reasons that I would recommend Tonya and Matt for your job, but I want to list the top three reasons below: 1. They were willing to work with our budget. We got another quote from another company that was completely outrageous. Tonya and Matt worked with us to go through our proposal line-by-line to make sure that we could cut costs where we felt comfortable. 2. Matt is an excellent contract manager and communicator. He sent us detailed emails with timelines and consistently kept us in the loop. The timeline went over a bit in the end, but things are bound to come up and mostly we appreciated the transparency. 3. Tonya's eye for visual design and placement is incredible! She was able to see our house in a new way, and I loved almost every design feature she picked out. If I did not like it, she moved on quickly to a plan b without pushing her design on me. She was GREAT to work with! My husband and I bought our first house together and renovated our first home together, all while we had our first baby boy. It was overwhelming to say the least, but Tonya and Matt made the process as smooth as possible and finished up in a fairly timely manner. We LOVE our new home and could not be happier!

Matt and Tonya Sherman are creative, down to earth and they helped me make what was truly a shack into a beautiful home. They kept to a budget and we worked together very well. Both of them are innovative thinkers and they were open to non-conventional approaches. I love old things and Matt went to extra trouble to put some of the old wood siding back into my home. Tonya assisted me with keeping costs in line on all the FF&E. She also helped me find fixes for tricky areas of design. I highly recommend Sherman and Company .

I've owned my lake house for over 25 years and undertaken several renovations - bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, landscaping, additions. In that time, I've run the gamut of experiences, from contractors who were really good, but terribly expensive, to those who did poor work, rarely keeping to a schedule or the project budget. I even had to take contractor to court once for failing to complete a job he was paid to do. So, this time, I was pretty serious about finding The Right One. SHERMAN & COMPANY REMODELING came highly recommended, but that wasn't enough for me! I was determined I wouldn't hire again without every concern on my list being addressed. I laugh now, because before I could open my mouth, Matt and Tonya Sherman were already describing how they work - and I liked it!. From the "get-go" - and before I signed off on the hire - I had a detailed estimate (categorized), a time line and a schedule of payments based on milestones. Once I did hire SHERMAN & COMPANY, if an unknown issue came up or I determned I wanted to change something slightly, Matt would come back on the job with an edited Scope list, showing credits or additional costs that applied. And honestly, I think Matt was more hawkish than me over the QUALITY of the work, whether by his guys or a sub-contractor. He seemed to take pride in the smallest of details of the project, but it extended beyond the kitchen renovation to things like protecting my floors and furniture during the weeks so many folks were in and out of the home. That translated to PEACE OF MIND. On the design side, I had some well thought out ideas - but, I didn't quit know how to pull all the elements of color and function together. I needed new eyes on it and Tonya couldn't have been easier to work with! I loved her ideas, choices and recommendations. In the end, we were on budget, on time and my new kitchen is simply stunning! From Tonya's eye for design, color and materials to Matt's many years of experience in construction and contracting, I felt my project was completely "safe" in their capable hands. We have hired Matt and Tonya for both home renovation and interior design projects. Tonya designed and made a headboard and provided interior design consultation for our home. Matt's skilled craftsmanship assisted us greatly when we renovated a 1920's bungalow.
