We engaged Tatiana to help design a fairly extensive "phase 1" remodel of our dated 1977 home in Bellevue, WA. From start to finish, Tatiana patiently listened to our ideas, concerns and constraints, and then timely submitted some design options that resonated with our ideas and style. Tatiana also referred us to some quality contractors that she felt had a strong history of reliability, delivery and the capability of seamlessly executing our custom design. The end result was phenomenal, and exceeded our expectations. The remodel came in on budget, with very few change orders necessary, and Tatiana's design and guidance on materials throughout the construction process was tantamount to the remodel's success. We would gladly recommend Tatiana, and we are looking forward to our Phase two remodel! Tatiana was a phenomenal addition to our team when we built out our renovation plans for our home in Sammamish. We contracted her for the interior and exterior design portion of our project. With her background in architecture, she was able to provide us with excellent feedback on the overall look and feel of our home. The plan set and details were so well thought out. She went as far as to assists us with issues she saw within our architectural drawings, which honestly saved us money and time in the end. With her skill set and knowledge she would be a valuable asset to any new construction or remodel project. We definitely plan to use her again in the future and can’t thank her enough for what she did for our home. It’s beautiful!

Tatiana was the architect of our custom build and working with her was an absolute dream! We had a particularly challenging front-slopping lot and Tatiana was able to push through the constraints of the lot to come up with a house design that we absolutely fell in love with. I really appreciated how she really listened to what we wanted, but also pushed back when our ideas didn't work. Throughout the entire process I was so impressed with her knowledge and expertise of every single detail of the design and building process. Her attention to detail and styling is incredible as she even extended to help with some finishes during the build process. Space Lab did a tremendous job, taking the initial design which we were not happy with, from another company and delivering an amazing house, following our crazy requirements and pushing back to keep it reasonable and sane. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had an extremely challenging whole-home remodel, which was an original lake cottage from the 1950's with an addition done in the early 1990's. We love our location but the home layout made it so difficult for us to enjoy our space, let alone entertain guests. Tatiana Darnell is the owner of Space Lab Design Services, an architectural and interior design firm, in Kirkland. The staff of the Miele Experience Center in Bellevue recommended her. They told us that she was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with. We needed an architect to take over the plans and advise our contractor because the original architect had recently passed away. For Tatiana, it was not an easy entry point into our whole house remodeling project. But she has been an exceptional find. She is very creative and offers design options where we can pick what we like and then fully refines the preferred choice. Her ideas are fully grounded in solid engineering principles which she carefully explains when we ask. On top of that, she is extremely prompt and responsive. We’ve never had anyone who turns around work so quickly, often overnight when we make an inquiry or ask a clarifying question. Her skills have greatly helped us.

We worked with Tatiana on our custom home project. During the course of five months we worked with her, I’ve been impressed with her depth of knowledge, out-of-the-box thinking, and the professionalism with which she handled every situation.
