About Us

Sumaya earned her BFA in Interior Design at prestigious American College in Atlanta, 1996, specializing in Residential and Hospitality Interior Design. She began her career in high-end retail furniture sales at Beverly Hall. In 2004, she settled in Kennesaw to raise her family and start her own retail/design firm, Julep's Home Decor. From transitional to modern, Sumaya is able to find design solutions to make your home the sanctuary of your dreams. In 2020, Sumaya joined the Design Team at Ethan Allen coming full circle back to her roots in high end retail. At Ethan Allen, she provides guidance in all aspects of your project from space planning, furniture selection, color schemes, and even accessories. She values her relationships with her clients and absolutely believes that good conversation is essential to a productive and satisfying working relationship.

I’m so glad I found Juleps when I was ready to remodel my kitchen! I showed pictures of kitchens I liked and from these, Sumaya created a beautiful kitchen for me! She coordinated everything including cabinets, granite counter top, paint color, cabinet hardware, lighting and custom window treatments. She has great suggestions and recommend adding a butler pantry for more storage. She even selected a beautiful new table and chairs for the breakfast nook! Later, we worked on the dining room. Again, she had great recommendations for paint color, new window treatments and lighting She also selected a beautiful new dining room table, chairs and rug. Sumaya is a talented designer and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to future projects!

I’ve been a customer of Julep’s since I moved to Georgia in 2002. I’ve been helped with almost everything as I’ve slowly moved my home from builders grade to my favorite cozy place to be. I appreciate the practical and stylish decoration sense and can count great suggestions and touches that made my house a home.

I have used Julep's on several occasions over the past few years as I worked on decorating projects at my home. She has helped me pick new hardwood flooring and carpets, paint colors and assisted with furniture purchases. She is extremely talented, professional and works hard to please her clients.

My last purchase was in February 2010 of a new living room sectional. I also purchased a leather recliner and had drapes made and valances for the bedrooms. Easy to work with and great knowledge of decorating. Also assisted on other items for my home. Would recommed highly.

I am very grateful to Sumaya. We had a house fire that destroyed the interior of the home. Sumaya came in and helped me get our home back. I hired Sumaya to help me remodel my master bathroom and she did a fabulous job! I could have never done as good a job coordinating everything from fixtures to tile to granite, etc. She was very thorough and engaged through out the process and made sure deadlines were met. Very professional and pleasant to work with.

I have worked with Sumaya of Juleps for a number of years and multiple projects. I find her creative, with a keen eye to detail and fabulous sense of color. She has helped us turn a so-so traditional house into a lovely comfortable space that gives us pleasure every day. I like to dabble in decorating and Sumaya has listened to my ideas and helped me not make mistakes in creating a truly wonderful home. She listened and worked within our budget by addressing the big things first and then adding the finishing touches to bring everything together. We just finished one project and we are in the planning stage of a new project. I consider the decorating fees money well spent. I would recommend Sumaya to bring your home alive.

We have worked with Sumaya for almost 3 years now. She has completely changed our home for the better! We simply stopped in to Julep's looking for 2 end tables...and we decided to hire Sumaya for a consultation and she has completely renovated our home to a much more comfortable/functional living space! From a basement, to a kitchen (including a partial remodel), living room, mud room (custom cabinets that hide all of our stuff :)), living room, dining room and several of our bedroom linens and decorations. She takes the time to understand our style, offer options and always comes through it making it perfect and functional! One other plus our 3 kids love having her around! They get excited every time they learn Ms. Sumaya is coming over to to change something! Highly recommend Julep's/Sumaya!!!
