The Mansion

We recently built our dream home, and called on the Mansion's to help fill it with the perfect decor after it was built. I could not have been happier with the experience I had when working with Lynn! She understood my style, and made picking out furniture pretty easy! She knew we had a certain budget, and was able to show me pieces that fit my style for the right price. Highly recommend!

We worked with Stacey and TheMansions to update our main level. She was great at listening to our thoughts and designed beautiful rooms for us, all with a lot of patience. She helped us stay on budget as we refreshed and updated... from picking out colors, flooring, furniture, window treatments, lighting, and accessories. First time I saw the completed project, tears came to my eyes. We never could have done this without her. I absolutely would recommend working with the designers the Mansion.

We recently built a new home and I worked with The Mansion in furnishing the great room/living room and the master bedroom. Interior design staff also assisted me with paint colors and wall paper. Not only did they do an excellent job bringing my vision to life but they also helped me stay focused and see the big picture. I also greatly appreciated Emily's willingness to step in and offer her professional opinion and advice on issues that did not directly involve the Mansion. My husband and I are thrilled with the look and quality of our furniture. We would use the Mansion again and would highly recommend their design services and products whether you are looking for just one piece or want to build and furnish an entire house.

I worked with Emily Steding from The Mansion on my remodel project and could not be any more pleased with the results! We did a main level overhaul/update to our home that was built in 2003. As you would expect, The Mansion is a very professional team to work with, but the personal touch, thought and care put into the project by Emily is what truly made this a success, not only to me but to my family as well. From the living room furnishings, accessories/updated color scheme that focused around my existing family artwork, to kitchen updates of backsplash, hardwood floors, appliances, lighting and ending with updates to my bedroom furnishings - I absolutely love it all! A remodel is never an easy project to live through, but Emily and the team at The Mansion made it as easy as it can be and truly made mine a success!!

In 1995, my husband received a promotion which required us to relocate to Des Moines, Iowa. We bought a 1915 Bungalow that had been completely 'stripped down" from its original state. Our goal was to restore the integrity of the original design and to bring it back to its full potential. Thus, requiring moving walls, knocking down sprayed ceilings and a host of craftsman style details. Not to mention updating and replacing the electrical, plumbing, windows, roof, furnace and air conditioning. So, after ten years of living in a construction zone...it was finally time to attempt the decorating and finishing touches. After all the exhausting decision making on the 'bones' of our home, it was time for reinforcement! Needless to say, we needed advise! The Mansion was there for us. Lynn, designer, was so gracious in working out our spaces. She listened and produced! Furniture, draperies, area rugs where all needed, as well as the request to incorporate our heirlooms. It was seamless for her. The pallet of colors and her attention to details flowed from the ceiling to the floor. We were pleased with the quality and array of products The Mansion offered and the services it provided. From custom silk window treatments to reupholstering exiting pieces...they handled it all! Here we are ten years later with another remodel project on our slate. It is comforting to know that Lynn is still a designer at The Mansion and will be available to put 'the icing on our cake'! It is reassuring to know that the level of superior service, product quality and selection is just a phone call away. We feel it was worth every penny spent to have The Mansion guide us through and complete our goal of restoring our homes original design. We look forward to another positive experience with The Mansion!

I worked with Lynn Neswold at The Mansion on the decorating and design of our new home built in 2011. It was an outstanding experience. I would never have survived all of the decisions of building and decorating a new home without Lynn's expertise. She was so easy to work with, so giving of her time with all of the decorating decisions, and she instantly understood my style. She effortlessly used existing pieces of furniture and accessories, including reworking old silk drapes, while adding new pieces that perfectly created a complete and beautiful home. My house would not be the beautiful home that I still love every day nearly 5 years later without Lynn's professional and caring work. To this day, I still seek her advice on the smallest of ongoing decorating decisions because she is that good. I highly recommend Lynn and The Mansion to anyone with decorating needs, regardless of style, size of project or budget.

Emily Steding recently helped me remodel my living room. I love the results. Emily took quality time with me, looking at options and coming up with a beautiful plan. Emily came out multiple times, her attention to detail was outstanding. I also liked her approach, she asked me about what styles, colors, ideas I had and then used that as a starting point.

Lynn Neswold, Interior Designer/The Mansion was extremely professional and an excellent partner in our kitchen remodel. We have used the Mansion for several years and have always been so happy with their service. They have many items in the store and that is very important to us when buying a chair or sofa. We like to be able to sit on the furniture and see how we like it before making the purchase. We have had the pleasure of using Lynn for all of our projects - big and small - and she is wonderful. She really listens to what we want, and she has always been respectful of our deadlines and budget. She has a wonderful eye for style and color and working with her is very easy and fun.

Lynn at The Mansion helped me design and furnish my family room addition which included sofas, tables, chairs, ottomons, pillows, window treatments and accessories. She was great to work with and nailed my style to a "T". I seriously cried as it came together. A dream come true. I must add that nearly every person who comes to my home comments on what a great room it is. I would highly recommend The Mansion and their designers.

I have worked with The Mansion for several years now and I could not be happier with the job the designers do. Lyn always manages to give us exactly what we ask for; helping transform our house into a home. She not only brings in a designers touch, but also adds an element of "cozy", making everyone feel comfortable. We were so impressed with her work we hired her to help us with our lake home before, during and after a complete remodel. Once again, she did not disappoint. Others at The Mansion have also pitched in to help when we've had formal events that needed an extra touch. It's a great bunch of women and they all do amazing work.

Lynn gave us the vision needed to tie color, form and function all together as we transitioned from a colonial style home to a contemporary style home. Having the furniture work together well for several rooms was critical for the open floor plan we furnished. She definitely proved to be a creative and efficient resource during our full home renovation - as she took care of designing our home while we concentrated on other renovation issues. Lynn heard our wants and needs and turned these into pieces and layouts we are certain to enjoy for many years to come.
