I hired Cindy to design and construct a custom bed. I knew Cindy worked primarily in wood and textiles. I had certain dimension requirements and design ideas. Cindy worked closely with me to understand my needs and preferences through several iterations. At the end of this very enjoyable consultative process Cindy delivered three beautiful designs to select from. Choosing my favorite design was difficult but fun as I was able to involve friends in the process. In addition to providing me drawings Cindy provided me several samples of wood so I could experience both their texture and various finishes. I was also able to select the color of the leather Cindy would use on the headboard. Cindy kept me updated as the construction progressed with emails and photos. When the bed was ready she shipped it to me and then went the extra mile of coming to my residence to put the bed together. Through the entire process Cindy assured and reassured me that the natural materials she recommneded and ultimately used by mutual agreement would contrast beautifully with the concrete, stone and glass of my modern loft style apartment. She was more than right! The bed is a treasured possession. It reflects what these days is an all to rare example of artistic vision, design and craftsmanship all rolled into one.

Cindy has an amazing sense of design combined with function and aesthetic when it comes to the art of woodworking. She is deliberate in her approach making sure every detail of the wood's beauty is expressed in connection with the specific design of the piece. Her vision takes the art of woodworking and the use of wood to another level. I would highly recommend her and I look forward to working with her again!

I hired Cindy to design and build a table for me a few months ago. While I knew the approximate dimensions of the table that I wanted and the fact that I wanted it to have a "farmhouse feel" and a drop-down leaf, how to accomplish that and all of the details needed to be figured out. Cindy was amazing at talking through everything, giving me lots of options for design, types of wood, kinds of finish and overall function of the table. Most of all, though, Cindy was great at really listening to me to gain an understanding of what I wanted and what kinds of things I like (including coming to my house to get a feel for my taste!) The results were beyond my expectations; the table is beautiful and we could not be happier with it. It is both fully functional and absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend Cindy to anyone and would absolutely use her again!
