Located in Durango, Colorado, TMA Design was established in 1989 by Terry Ackerman to focus on high quality energy efficient homes. Terry has been involved in residential design of varying scopes, styles, structural systems and energy systems, drafting, illustration, and construction since 1977, in and around the Colorado mountains. As a proficient CAD user, VectorWorks has been the main design and production tool since inception. With virtually realistic computer generated renderings & animations, visualization of the design of your home as it evolves is quicker with deeper understanding and easy design changes. This also allows for the visualization of various finishes and colors to assist with material and color selections. With a very efficient drawing system and experience, high quality and detail oriented design and construction drawings are generated which drive a smooth construction process, saving costs and avoiding problems, while still allowing for on going design tweaks and refinements. E-drawings and project web pages allows for quick turn around with drawings, animations, archiving, and access via the internet by all parties involved in the project. Since we are digitally adept and highly versatile and experienced, we are also available to consider a variety projects and offer consultation virtually anywhere.
