In my experience Tony and his team are reliable and perfectionists when it comes to quality work. We had soffits and fascia replaced on our old house in Madison and they were timely and efficient and it was obvious they really cared about their craft. Several years ago they remodeled our kitchen and it was the best investment we’ve ever made. It was a total redo, going from an early 1950s cobbled together kitchen to a wonderful modern workspace that is a real pleasure to use.

Tony Trapp is the best, period. That means he doesn’t cut corners, and doesn’t work with people who do. And, the best people cost more than the average people. But, you get more than you pay for, too. Much more. I demand to get something for every dollar. I am frugal, and I more of a DIYer than most. I had several contractors come out to look at a number of jobs, and I interviewed a number of skilled workers across several trades for my house remodel. In the end, I didn’t hire any of them. If you’ve done some research, you already know why — good people are hard to find. Really hard. And that was how it was, until I talked to Tony about what I wanted. When he met with me and my wife, with him were the best electrician I have ever met, and the best plumber I have ever met. And they all worked with us to sketch out what they could do. And when the carpenters came, they were the best carpenters I have ever met — every one of them was a better carpenter than anyone I have ever worked with. And it kept on like that through every sort of job — the workers who came out to take out the old insulation and put in the new were the very best, the team who did all the demo, put up the drywall, and so forth, all the very best. And everything came along on schedule, orchestrated as promised. And, when there were bumps in the road, whether due to a misunderstanding or a job that didn’t turn out as I or my wife had envisioned, Tony took care of it. And the price never changed except when I took over part of the job, or asked Tony for more work to be done. He was flexible to a fault, working with me without friction on my every change, and there were quite a few. These are some of the many other benefits we got when we put our faith, and our money, in Tony. We got the best there is, and we got everything we wanted the way we wanted it. Maybe it sounds self-indulgent, but then, this is where we live, and we have particular ideas about what we do and don’t want. On every front, Tony met those expectations, and frequently exceeded them, such as by providing better work than we thought possible, spotting problems that were then fixed instead of becoming another problem down the road, and many other such matters that are hard to describe in a short review, but each of which is important. And I know, from experience, that other contractors, even good ones, would not have provided the things Tony did. He’s simply on another level. Tony Trapp earned my trust, respect, and admiration. He has the best people, but Tony is the very best of the best. I have never seen anyone so meticulous, diligent, professional, patient, or wise about his work. If I had to do it all over again, I would count myself the luckiest person alive if I could have Tony again.

Tony Trapp R&R remodeled a bathroom and performed extensive repairs on our home in Middleton in 2017. We rate Tony Trapp as excellent in every facet. Not only was the work done to perfection, but TT is also excellent in fairness of terms and conditions of the contract, communication, advising, scheduling and punctuality.

Tony has a great team including skillful carpenters with "perfectionist" standards. His team oversees all project logistics and detail to make the experience as as painless as possible for the client. Tony and his team built a new two-story large deck on my Mid-century house that presented structural challenges since the house is on the precipice of a steep ravine. I spent over 1.5 years looking for the best contractor for the job. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my deck project. I highly recommend Tony and his team for any construction/remodeling project large or small.

I have worked with Tony Trapp Remodeling & Repairs on several projects and each one has been a great experience! Tony has a tremendous knowledge of remodeling and construction along with an easy going positive attitude. His contracts are accurate, detailed, and thorough, and projects are completed on schedule. Tony and his contractors have a collaborative spirit so when an issue arises on a job, we get together and solve the problem. The latest project involved hiding lights and outlets in floating shelves so as not to have the glass tile backsplash interrupted. I was able to work with the carpenter and electrician on the project to come up with the right solution. Tony hires highly skilled carpenters who translate my designs into beautiful reality!

Tony Trapp has been our go-to guy for the past 3 years. He has done many projects for us, both big and small. In October of 2012, he and his team did a large renovation in our house, which included converting our wiring from the old knob and tube to modern wiring, updating the lighting in the living room, installing crown molding, redoing ceilings and painting throughout the house. Tony and his team are the best in Madison- hands-down. They are courteous, conscientious, timely, budget-conscious and clean. This past fall we had Tony do some renovations in our basement, which included installing a new utility sink, pouring cement in a part of the basement that had no cement (an old root cellar) and ripping out old dividers and an old work bench. The basement looked so much better- cleaner and more open. We recently sold our house and I know that all the work Tony and his guys did helped us to get a much higher asking price. I can't speak highly enough of this contractor. Absolutely the best there is. I just wish I could take him with me to my next city!

We hired Tony to do a complete kitchen remodel, which started in late January 2013 and ended at the end of March. He had worked with us in the past on smaller projects, including installation of a solatube in our living room and a bathroom fan. Chris managed the project at our home, but Tony was available whenever we needed him to answer questions. The quality of the work is excellent and we are very happy with the end result. We worked with Cabinet Masters for the design and Tony's company was in charge of the demolition and installation. We would recommend Tony to anyone thinking of remodeling or repairs for their home. Any issues that we might have had, which were relatively minor, were fixed to our satisfaction. For instance, the grout between our countertop and backsplash was cracking a couple of months after installation and Tony had someone come back and redo the work, no questions asked. With any project, unforeseen issues arise during construction and Tony and Chris were quick to let us know what was going on and how that might impact the cost or timeline for the project. All of the subcontractors that Tony hired were topnotch as well and the we are very pleased with the quality of their work. They communicated well with Tony and, again, if there were any issues, they were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. In fact, the plumber that Tony used noticed that our downstairs toilet was pretty old and used a lot of water. He suggested replacing it during the remodel to save us a trip charge and helped us get the city of Madison rebate on toilet replacement. Since our kitchen remodel, we hired Tony's company to come back and work on issues that arose last winter with our sunroom. He was one of the contractors that works with Green Madison and Focus on Energy, so we were able to get two rebates back from them for a portion of the cost. The work they did surpassed our expectations in terms of energy efficiency and aesthetics.Tony worked with us on the Green Madison recommendations to figure out what was necessary to prevent ice damming and water leakage and what was more of a comfort issue. We fully intend to use Tony in the future to fix the issues that were more comfort related. We would highly recommend Tony to anyone who has a large remodeling project or for more simple home repairs. You might be able to find people to do the job cheaper, but we doubt you'll find anyone who could the job better and that is easier to work with than Tony and the rest of his staff.
