Vernon built our very first home in Gardens of Manship (Flowood, MS) back in 2012. Since this was our first home buying experience, we did as much research on Hearst Construction as possible. All the results came back the same -- he was excellent at everything. My father is in the development business and compliments must be earned from him and he was very complimentary of Vernon's work ethic, quality and compassion. We called Vernon all the time and he answered on every call whether it truly had anything to do with the house or not! He told us when we signed the paper work that we would have no problem selling the house when we were ready. I remember thinking, we will never sell this house because we loved it too much! Well, fast forward 4 years and new career opportunities brought us back to Starkville, MS. Vernon was right, we never put the house on the market. We showed the house on July 4th and closed on August 5th! It was Vernon's extra details, quality of work and design that sold the house. Fast forward a year later, I contacted Vernon to see if he would be interested in building the same house we had in Flowood with a few tweaks in Starkville, MS (over 130 miles away). We adored our first home and most importantly, appreciated Vernon's hard work, dedication and support. I honestly thought it was huge request and considered looking into other local builders, but I knew he was the BEST and our family needed that assurance again. He agreed and now we are in the process of building here in Starkville and making incredible progress daily. Vernon is here 2 to 3 times a week (sometimes more) and I asked if we could send pictures so he would not have to travel so much and his response was the foundation and framing process is one he wants to be a part of step by step. He said he loses sleep at this stage thinking about each step and ensuring his team has accomplished each task successfully. As I mentioned earlier, Vernon continues to be excellent at everything. We are staying within budget and schedule and he has been very professional and accommodating throughout the process. Finding genuine, ambitious and hard working individuals is difficult, but Vernon will do whatever it takes to get the job done right. We are grateful for his vision, dedication, attention to detail and commitment to giving us another home we will adore. I highly recommend Hearst Construction and we are very thankful for everything they have done and continue to do for us!

We used this company for a custom built home. The situation was unique in that our home had burned, was torn down to the slab, the builder had to not only pour additional concrete, but work around existing pipes. It was a tough job! With all of this our new home was built above and beyond our expectations. Vernon's attention to detail was excellent. He was on the job site daily. His quality is superb. We would highly recommend Hearst Construction.
