Beautiful blue-gray subway tile is set off nicely by crisp white cabinets. The warm orange-toned floor complements the blue. Ever wonder why blue and orange look so fabulous together? They are opposite each other on the color wheel, making them actual complementary colors.
Carrara marble tile in a softer shade of blue-gray shares the gray and white of the calacatta marble counters. Notice how it provides lightness with a hint of color to balance the dark wood floor.
This multi-colored diamond-shaped tile creates a striking focal point in a pleasing combination of ivory and gray limestone, burgandy marble and honey onyx. The color blend unifies all of the materials and finishes of the kitchen.
Light travertine mosaic tile blends nicely with the creamy cabinets and warm tones of the granite counter. The metal accent tiles echo the floral motif of the hood ornament, bring out the gray flecks in the counter, and speak to the stainless steel stove.
The amber shades of iridescent glass tile add sparkle and depth to this lovely kitchen. This backsplash becomes the focal point and "jewelry" of the room.
White subway tile will never go out of style. Here, it's a neutral backdrop for the gorgeous curved hood and matching floating shelves. The tile molding protrudes ever so slightly to become a horizontal element in the visual space between the shelves and counter.
Large aqua tile set on the diagonal adds some soothing color to an otherwise all-white kitchen.
