The garden is full of scent with the planting of the 'Thalia' narcissus spring bulb. The bulbs have been in flower for 3 weeks so far and we love the effect. Along the sides of the parterre we have planted blocks of 'Purple Sensation' allium bulbs.

A new bed was created with large, sweeping curves. A dwarf blue spruce was installed to anchor the corner of the garden near the garage. Long-blooming rose shrubs were added for color all summer long, along with long-blooming perennials for a variety of color. Paver edging was installed to keep grass from growing into the garden bed.

Belgian Block curbing creates a formal accent to the stone home. Bloodgood Japanese Maples, Thundercloud Plums, Star Magnolia, Forsythia and a Red Cutleaf Japanese Maple are just starting to show their early spring color. Boxwood hedges compliment the formality of the home.

Reaches 6 to 10 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide. Partial to full sun. This compact, conical False Cypress has graceful, soft fern-like branches. The leaves are bright green on top and flecked with silver-blue on the underside. A great alternative for Dwarf Alberta Spruce and pyramidal yews. Deer resistant.
