Wallpaper featuring a "tree of life". Inspired by the Palace of Fontainebleau outside Paris, this wallpaper shows a flock of exotic birds in vibrant colours. Shown here in fuchsia pink and emerald green. Often, a small powder room is found off the main foyer to a house. In this project, we collaborated with the homeowners to make a great statement about the owners themselves. Elegant lines and subdued colors in the foyer are contrast against this splash of color and bold paneling and bolection molding -- a bit of surprising personality is tucked away waiting to be discovered. - Justin Zeller owns a design-build remodeling firm, Red House Custom Building, serving RI and MA. Inspiration for a victorian bathroom remodel in San Francisco with a vessel sink

As a practical trend, formal dining spaces have largely become obsolete in favor of great, dynamic kitchens; however, bucking the movement, my young, but highly traditional client wanted to enjoy evening meals as a routine close to the family’s scattered and hectic days. Ceilings are christened a whisper of a blush to inspire relaxed conversation under the halo of a warm glow. The traditional table and chairs are the yield of a highly juried online treasure hunt. Each piece is meticulously refinished in an updated stain more reflective of the young homeowners. Performance fabric is used on the chairs to ensure ease of cleanability to combat daily use by children and young adults. Walls are clad in a cut velvet and metallic animal print wallpaper to add subtle nostalgia from eras gone by. Millwork is freshly painted in a semi-gloss alabaster to offer relief from the wallpaper and ceiling. The opulent, antique-inspired chandelier is the dazzling focal point with draped crystal beading. Linen drapery panels seamlessly silhouette the cozy window seat. Cleanable yet regal velvet fabric upholstered cushions, ornamented with a braided trim add a final pop of elegance.

Meet Nina,the DIY decorating enthusiast behind the blog Swanky Swell. Nina had been eying our Birch Forest Stencil because it reminded her of her favorite nature inspired wallpaper. She had decided to make over her guest bedroom and while she loved the look of wallpaper, the price was way outside her decorating budget. Our Birch Forest Stencil was the perfect solution. She painted the forest pattern on an accent wall behind the bed in Martha Stewart's Tiger Eye. To complete the look of the room, she purchased a headboard from Target and scored a vintage end table on Craigslist that she painted Kelly Green. It's the perfect swanky guest bedroom. Somehow we doubt her guests will want to leave!

Powder room - small modern powder room idea

This gray and transitional kitchen remodel bridges the gap between contemporary style and traditional style. The dark gray cabinetry, light gray walls, and white subway tile backsplash make for a beautiful, neutral canvas for the bold teal blue and yellow décor accented throughout the design. Designer Gwen Adair of Cabinet Supreme by Adair did a fabulous job at using grays to create a neutral backdrop to bring out the bright, vibrant colors that the homeowners love so much. This Milwaukee, WI kitchen is the perfect example of Dura Supreme's recent launch of gray paint finishes, it has been interesting to see these new cabinetry colors suddenly flowing across our manufacturing floor, destined for homes around the country. We've already seen an enthusiastic acceptance of these new colors as homeowners started immediately selecting our various shades of gray paints, like this example of “Storm Gray”, for their new homes and remodeling projects! Stunning master bedroom design. Elegant, sophisticated and beautiful is what this room is all about. A color palette spa, taupe, cream and gray are the perfect setting for this busy couple to unwind and relax. Tones of soft warm gray lead up to the tray which is highlighted by the beautiful flocked iridescent wallpaper. A laying of textures, neutrals with subtle color along with deliberately placed accents are the key elements to this space. The homeowners are thrilled with our latest project!
